As long as The People worshipping the gods (((they))) created, they will never be able to lay down their warhammers of judgement and unite. The Religions are fine with this, because a divided populace will suffer the rule of a King, who kills "the other guy".
You realize all "hard-core" Christians preach the Hebrew Bible and the worship of the Hebrew God as good or better than most Hebrews, while unironically damning Jews for not breaking the 1st Commandment. The mental gymnastics are real.
It depends on who you are allowing to define good and evil for you, and what their motives and agenda are.
Some would say "cursing" is evil.
I would say whoever taught them that is the evil one.
Religion is a human construct. It can be trancsended by rejecting it. It's not that hard.

I'm horrified than that we don't have a humane euthanasia policy for human life, so each can choose their own ending.
