Yes I know that. And the majority of the US knows that. But as you pointed out, it has been happening for over 40 years & still going strong. People are so use to saying they know there is all sorts of corruption everywhere but there is nothing to do about it, so every new news story everyone just shrugs their shoulders and lets it happen.

One of the things that the past 5-ish years has shown me & I truly believe 100% is that the ONLY way to get people to open their eyes & wake TF up, is for whatever bad thing happening, happens to them personally.
There are FAR too many out there that still live their lives with their heads in the sand & consciously & unconsciously ignore/laugh at "other peoples problems" because it isn't happening to them.
I don't know man…all I do know is that within the past 3-ish years, the Empathy part of my brain has been turned up to 11 or some shit. It's been brutal. But I wouldn't get rid of it. It definitely has opened a lot of information that I never even thought to think of before. If that makes any sense
