04/29/2022 Reagan & Raiders of the Lost Ark https://decodingsymbols.wordpress.com/2022/04/29/reagan-raiders-of-the-lost-ark/

This week I decoded Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I was surprised to find claims online asserting that Indiana Jones was based on a Ronald Reagan film! If you look side-by-side the main characters have the same outfit, and the films have the same opening plot about stealing a 6 inch golden idol, among other curious connections…

Given Raiders of the Lost Ark came out the same year Reagan became POTUS? What meaning is there in mimicking the visuals of a 1951 Reagan film in a 1981 movie about keeping Nazi's away from forbidden treasures?

To answer part of this question let's consider some of the most famous stories retold over and over about the production of Indiana Jones.

Perhaps the most famous anecdote about the film I've seen times while researching this is about the famous scene involving Indy and the sword guy, how the original plan was to have a long drawn out sword vs whip fight in the film, but Harrison Ford famously said "I've got a gun, why don't I just shoot him," and a legendary scene was born.

Were there any famous shootings in the first year of Reagan?

I suspect they believed Reagan would be killed and Raiders of the Lost Ark was to be the Pyramid's statement after the fact.

When you realize this, the mystery behind using elements from Reagan films (more than 1) to send a message makes sense.

These comms were likely a justification, and so once decoded it will help us clarify a lot of how major factions viewed each other and interacted at the time, so let's get into it! https://decodingsymbols.wordpress.com/2022/04/29/reagan-raiders-of-the-lost-ark/
