The entire system is a lie from both ends. I'm not "following" anything. I'm observing, and from time to time, participating in conversation to help steer humanity in a better direction. The use of allegory on the "right" to pretend there's some higher sense/meaning that goes beyond the veil is just as dishonest and full of shit as the lying liars on the left that appeal to the limbic and baser instincts of the lesser learned.
Being human is the journey of seeking the balance that helps you grow and be your best you. Understanding God and having a belief in God is mastery of and better understanding your own self. The corruptors and the legalists competing for authoritative control over your mind, body, and soul would have your conformity by way of entrapment or willful submission in order to distract you from your true potential as an individual. Belief in humanity is what they fear most. A public that trusts in their own judgement and abilities send both sides into deep panic. I wonder if there are any philosophical viewpoints or ideological studies that would send both satanists and religious zealots into a state of pure panic?
