Dr. Li-Meng Yan Says China Released COVID-19 Intentionally – “THIS IS NOT AN ACCIDENT”

On Friday, Dr. Li-Meng Yan was on with Joe Hoft and she discussed her research of COVID beginning in late 2019 from Hong Kong where she was a virologist working as a Ph.D. at the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Yan fled China after providing evidence that the COVID-19 virus was created in a laboratory.

Now, as international leaders finally focus on her Wuhan lab-leak theory, the scientist told Newsmax that Fauci’s emails contain “a lot of useful information” suggesting he always knew more than he revealed.

“They verify my work from the very beginning, even from last January, that these people know what happened, but they choose to hide for the Chinese Communist Party and for their own benefits”.

Dr. Yan on Friday discussed her upbringing and then her studies and how she landed in Hong Kong. She began looking into COVID-19 in late 2019 in Hong Kong. She shared that she came to five conclusions related to COVID-19:

Claims that COVID-19 could not travel between humans were false

China government was covering it up and it was terrible in Wuhan and the WHO was involved

There was no animal host for COVID-19 – the seafood market was just a smokescreen

If not caught on time the outbreak could get big and out of hand

The origins of COVID were gain of function – lab-created – backbone was bat virus

Judge Rules Against Twitter In Case Of Suspended Journalist – “Next Comes Discovery”

California judge William Alsup has allowed for the case to move forward and for “expedited & broad discovery” to take place.

Deutsche Bank Offices Raided By Police On Money Laundering Concerns

It looks as though Chief Executive Christian Sewing could actually be making an attempt to clean things up at Deutsche Bank, after years of regulatory issues at the bank. In fact, Deutsche Bank headquarters is reportedly being searched at this moment as part of an ongoing money laundering case that it appears the bank tipped off regulators to.

The bank's offices in Frankfurt are being searched by law enforcement authorities "after the lender flagged potential money laundering," Bloomberg wrote on Friday morning.

The raid includes officials from the Frankfurt prosecutors office and Germany's BKA federal police, the report continues. The searches are taking place following the decision by a Frankfurt court, the report says.

Additionally, representatives of financial regulator BaFin were also involved in the search, Reuters reported.

Deutsche Bank said in a statement that the search relates to “reports made by the bank of suspected money laundering" and the bank said it is "cooperation [sic] fully with authorities". Reuters confirmed that the search was due to a tip from the bank, stating "the search involved suspicious transactions it had itself passed on to authorities".

"Police officers are present in and around Deutsche Bank’s Frankfurt headquarters", Bloomberg confirmed Friday morning. However, one witness told Reuters "there was no sign of authorities outside the bank's headquarters on Friday".

Deutsche Bank made the following statement:

"This is an investigative measure by the Frankfurt public prosecutor's office in connection with suspicious activity reports filed by the bank. Deutsche Bank is fully cooperating with the authorities."

Meanwhile, Deutsche has been under the microscope for potential money laundering for years, facing nearly $700 million in fines for trades that authorities said were used to illegally launder money.

Syria grants amnesty for ‘terrorist crimes’

President Bashar Assad’s decree does not, however, pardon anyone involved in killings

Syrian President Bashar Assad issued a decree on Saturday granting amnesty to Syrians for terrorist crimes up to the end of April, except those leading to death. Assad has extended similar olive branches to deserters, criminals and opposition fighters before, often to the displeasure of the US.

Assad’s decree, first reported by Syrian state media on Saturday, “grants a general amnesty for terrorist crimes committed by Syrians before [Saturday], except for those that led to the death of a person.”

While the pardon frees terrorists from criminal prosecution, it does not exempt them from civil lawsuits brought by those they may have harmed.

Those pardoned would have been prosecuted under a 2012 anti-terrorism law and a 1949 provision of Syria’s legal code, and as such will affect the various terrorist groups fighting in Syria’s civil war, which began in 2011. Assad, with the help of Russian forces, has broadly succeeded in maintaining control of Syria against a collection of opposition militias and terrorist groups like Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) and Al-Nusra Front.

Throughout more than a decade of war, Assad has periodically offered pardons to his opponents. Military deserters who didn’t take up arms with terrorists were given amnesty in 2018 and allowed to return to Syria, while a general amnesty for misdemeanors and juvenile crimes was granted in 2021.

However, at the outset of the Syrian Civil War in 2011, Assad attempted to offer opposition fighters amnesty in exchange for surrender. This offer was rejected by the United States, with State Department official Victoria Nuland advising the opposition to ignore Assad’s offer and continue fighting.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry at the time accused Washington of “inciting sedition” with this advice and “supporting acts of killing and terrorism.” The war would continue, and Nuland would go on to oversee the violent overthrow of democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovych in Ukraine in 2014, and is currently shaping US policy on Ukraine as President Biden’s under secretary of state for political affairs.

Indiana Attorney General Files Lawsuit Against Black Lives Matter Global Organization

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has filed a lawsuit against the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation.

Rokita’s office began investigating the organization’s donations in February and announced the lawsuit on Thursday.

According to a press release, the Office of the Attorney General is seeking an order requiring BLM to respond to a Civil Investigative Demand that was issued to the organization.

“Protecting Indiana consumers from this house of cards is critical,” said Attorney General Rokita. “There are concerning patterns of behavior from this organization, and we will do what it takes—including this lawsuit—to get to the bottom of it.”

Rokita’s office said that “in a 2020 report published by BLM, the organization stated it raised over $90 million in 2020, while it distributed approximately $21.7 million to 30 local organizations and affiliated chapters, including an affiliated chapter in South Bend, Indiana.  However, an IRS filing by BLM for the first half of 2020 listed the organization had $0 in revenue, expenses, and assets held by BLM for the time period.”

“Attorney General Rokita issued a Civil Investigative Demand to BLM in order to determine if the organization’s actions constitute a violation of either the Indiana Deceptive Consumer Sales Act or the Indiana Nonprofit Corporation Act.  The Civil Investigative Demand seeks information and documents held by the entity relevant to the ongoing investigation to ensure transparency to donors and guarantee funds donated by Indiana residents are used for their intended purpose and not for the personal benefit of BLM directors,” the press release explained.

Failing to comply with the demand could mean that the organization would be barred from fundraising in the state.

“There are many Indiana stakeholders and donors who have been impacted by these allegations. This lawsuit will allow for a court to swiftly and efficiently resolve the state’s request for information,” said Attorney General Rokita.

Hunter Biden Met with Tony Blinken back in 2015 When He Was Deputy Sec. of State But Doesn’t Want to Talk About It

Secretary of State Tony Blinken, arguably the worst Secretary of State in modern US history, testified before Congress this week.

During one interaction with Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) asked Blinken about Hunter Biden. Blinken refused to discuss hypotheticals. Maybe it’s because Tony Blinken met with Hunter back in 2015 when he was Deputy Secretary of State.

The New York Post reported on their meeting back in November 2020.

Hunter Biden sought a meeting with his president-elect dad’s pick for secretary of state shortly after joining the board of a controversial Ukrainian energy company in 2015, according to a report Tuesday.

Biden emailed Antony Blinken, then the US deputy secretary of state, to request the sit-down, Fox News said.

“Have a few minutes next week to grab a cup of coffee? I know you are impossibly busy, but would like to get your advice on a couple of things,” Hunter Biden reportedly wrote on May 22, 2015…

…Biden and Blinken — a longtime aide to Biden’s father and a family friend — later met in July 2015 and “spoke about Beau and the Biden family” but they didn’t discuss Burisma, a person familiar with the meeting told the Post.

The emails between Biden and Blinken were obtained last year in response to a Freedom of Information Act request, Fox News said.

Disney corporate affairs chief Geoff Morrell steps down after three months

Morrell was named chief corporate affairs officer in December

The Walt Disney Company's Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Geoff Morrell is stepping down from his position, according to an email sent to company executives, FOX Business has confirmed.

Morrell had served in the role for just three months, during a period of political turmoil for the entertainment company after it took sides in Florida's Parental Rights in Education legislation.

In an email obtained by FOX Business, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek told company executives that Morrell is "leaving the company to pursue other opportunities."

Morrell told his staff in an email that it has become "clear" that he's not the right fit in the position.

"After three months in this new role, it has become clear to me that for a number of reasons it is not the right fit," Morrell wrote. "After talking this over with Bob, I have decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities."

Morrell previously served as Pentagon press secretary under former President Bush and former President Obama before joining BP America as its head of communications in 2011.

Chapek announced several changes to the company's leadership team as well.

Kristina Schake will shift to a new role, leading the company's communications efforts as executive vice president, global communications.

Horacio Gutierrez, general counsel for the Walt Disney Company, will lead the company's government relations and global public policy efforts.

Attorneys arguing whether a suit regarding an unpaid half million dollar agribusiness loan involving Secretary Brian Kemp should be settled by a judge or go to trial.

Patrick O’Brien, Attorney for RLP Investments, said, “They borrowed half a million dollars and didn’t pay it and don’t want to pay it. The jury would be scratching their head”

Kemp’s attorney, Chuck Connerly, requesting a jury trial down the road and alleging that while Kemp’s -company took the loan; Kemp owning at one point a quarter share. Kemp was only a personal guarantor. And because the loan is past due and the lender gave an extension on paying it that Kemp doesn’t owe anything.

Now both Kemp and Abrams are millions of dollars better off than they were in 2018 and their state’s 2020 results were stolen for senile Joe Biden. Georgia needs better leadership.

Ottawa Instantly Deploys Riot Police in Response to New Protest

Dozens of police in riot gear deployed just hours after the weekend-long protest kicked off

Ottawa Police have blocked access to Parliament Hill and suited up in riot gear just hours into a fresh round of protests in the Canadian Capital. As large numbers of protestors began to arrive in the city, the Ottawa Police Service blocked off dozens of roads and accused the protestors of inciting violence.

The weekend-long event dubbed “Rolling Thunder” has no stated goal beyond “peacefully celebrating freedom.” It was organized by bikers who participated in this winter’s Freedom Convoy protests against vaccine mandates.

Police were already readying a heavy-handed response before the protestors even arrived. Ottawa Police Chief Steve Bell said that an “occupation” would be met with force, adding that any vehicles or mobile homes that attempt to block traffic would be towed.

This winter’s protests featured scores of trucks and mobile homes that camped outside Canadian government buildings for weeks. The Trudeau government subsequently labelled the peaceful protests an “illegal occupation” and declared martial law in order to quell them.

Just hours into the protest, which is supposed to run through Sunday, Ottawa law enforcement accused the crowd of inciting violence and deployed riot police. “Due to an escalation of crowd aggression, officers are deployed in helmets and shields for their protection in order to clear the crowd at Rideau and Sussex,” wrote the Ottawa Police Service in a tweet.

Lincoln Jay of Rebel News is reporting on the ground near police lines where dozens of riot police equipped with shields and helmets can be seen standing around a group of semi-trucks. An officer told Jay that things “got out of hand” but would not elaborate further.

In addition, law enforcement has blocked off multiple blocks in downtown Ottawa. This includes Parliament Hill, where a rally is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. An Ottawa police officer told Jay that she expects the road closures to last until Sunday.

Who is Eric Schwerin? What to know about Hunter Biden’s business partner

Eric Schwerin became one of Hunter Biden’s closest friends, business associates, and an emotional “pillar” to the president’s troubled second son over a 20-year relationship that transformed the enigmatic moneyman into a D.C. power player.

The 52-year-old fixer — who made at least 27 visits to the White House and other official venues during the Obama/Biden presidency — is likely to be a focus of a looming Republican House probe into Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings.

While Schwerin has not personally been accused of any wrongdoing, his deep personal and financial ties to both Joe and Hunter Biden continue to cast doubt on past claims from President Biden that he had no involvement in his son’s business dealings.

Hunter Biden and Schwerin likely first met when they worked in President Bill Clinton’s Commerce Department.

Schwerin arrived at the agency in 1994 with a sterling resume, having earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. Before graduating he spent a year in Czechoslovakia as an English teacher.

Schwerin rose through the ranks quickly, becoming an International Trade Specialist in 1997, before claiming the title of senior policy advisor to the Secretary for International Trade in 1999.

“I worked with him in the Department of Commerce and I always found him to be a good and decent guy. A nice pleasant guy,” one former colleague told The Post of Schwerin.

Hunter Biden was the same age as Schwerin and fresh out of Yale Law School, where he had won admission after President Clinton personally lobbied Dean Guido Calabresi to admit him. After bouncing around some cushy banking gigs in Delaware, he landed at Commerce as a “policy director specializing in the burgeoning Internet economy,” according to the New Yorker.

The pair hit it off. When George W. Bush became president, Hunter Biden left government and started a lobbying shop with William Oldaker, a D.C. lawyer who worked on his father’s aborted 1988 presidential campaign. In 2002 Schwerin joined them and became a partner in the company, lobbying disclosure forms show.

In 2008 Sen. Barack Obama sought more than $3.4 million in congressional earmarks for Hunter’s clients, the Washington Post reported at the time.

Schwerin stayed with the lobbying firm until 2008. That same year Joe Biden was elected vice president of the United States and both Hunter Biden and Schwerin were ready for their next moves.

Conveniently, in 2004, Schwerin had purchased a three-bedroom townhouse in the upscale Glover Park neighborhood of DC. The area, known for ambassador’s residences and stately homes, is a 20-minute walk from the Naval Observatory, where the vice president’s residence is located.

Schwerin visited the residence at least 13 times during Joe Biden’s vice presidency, mostly for official parties and receptions.

On June 25, 2009, Hunter Biden founded his investment firm Rosemont Seneca Partners with Chris Heinz, the ketchup fortune heir and stepson of John Kerry and Devon Archer, a one-time Abercrombie & Fitch model. Schwerin was enlisted to be its president. The fund aggressively pursued deals in Russia, Romania, Ukraine, China and elsewhere.

During the eight years of Joe Biden’s vice presidency, Schwerin gradually became a de facto financial planner for the wider Biden family.

Emails from Hunter Biden’s abandoned hard drive show Schwerin moving money on behalf of father and son and helping Hunter Biden handle family expenses. Schwerin received Joe Biden’s “Delaware tax refund check” while he was vice president and the two talked by phone about the Joe Biden’s mortgage.

“He did financial stuff for the family but that’s really all I know,” Margaret Campbell, a former special assistant to Jill Biden, previously told The Post.

After Hunter Biden’s aunt Valerie Biden Owens finished a four-month stint at the United Nations in September 2016, Schwerin sent a memo to Hunter Biden outlining a plan for Aunt Val to handle consulting projects at the Biden Foundation and University of Delaware, with each gig paying $12,500 per month, according to Miranda Devine’s book “Laptop from Hell.”

The Bidens returned the favor, using their influence in the White House to help Schwerin land a plum presidential appointment to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad in 2015.

By the end of Biden’s term as vice president, Schwerin had become a DC power player. His birthday was noted in Politico Playbook and he served as chairman of 826DC, a trendy non-profit dedicated to helping students develop “creative and expository writing skills.”

Texas Approves $495.3 Million for Border Security Operations

Texas has approved the transfer of $495.3 million to fund Operation Lone Star and critical border operations at other state agencies, the governor’s office announced Friday.

“This funding will address immediate border security needs while future funding needed to protect Texans continues to be evaluated,” according to Gov. Greg Abbott’s office.

The vast majority of the funds—$465.3 million—will go toward supporting the deployment of the Texas Army National Guard, with the remaining some $30 million to be sent to other state agencies.

The state leadership said in a letter to state agencies (pdf) the approval of the funds will take effect immediately.

“Texas will not sit on the sidelines as President Biden continues turning a blind eye to the crisis at our southern border,” Abbott said in a statement, adding, “This additional funding ensures the Lone Star State is fully equipped to provide Texans the border security strategy they demand and deserve.”

Chinese Regime Locks Down World’s Largest Wholesale Hub Under its Zero-COVID Policy

The Chinese communist regime has locked down the world’s largest wholesale market—Yiwu City in China’s Zhejiang Province, since April 27 due to a COVID-19 outbreak. Experts believe that the regime’s implementation of the extreme “zero-COVID” policy in the “world’s small commodity capital” will bring a new blow to the global supply chain.

According to a statement posted on Yiwu’s city government’s official social media WeChat account, after 3 local COVID-19 cases were found, authorities ordered all residents not to leave their residential complexes or villages. They closed schools and prevented people from entering public places, government agencies, enterprises, and institutions across the city without a negative nucleic acid certificate within the past 24 hours.

Yiwu, with a population of 1.5 million, brings together more than 2.1 million kinds of commodities, exporting everything from Christmas ornaments to U.S. presidential campaign supplies, to more than 210 countries and regions around the world. In 2021, the express delivery volume reached 9.29 billion pieces.

The city is a major wholesale hub and export center for consumer accessories. Eighty percent of all Chinese Christmas merchandise exports are from Yiwu. Nearly half of all goods exported from the city are destined for the United States.

The shutdown of all communities has already affected the express delivery of goods.

Yiwu Postal Administration stated that all couriers must undergo COVID-19 nucleic acid testing. Some couriers are suspended as they have been to the areas that have positive cases and so they have a “yellow code” on their mandatory health app. It has created shortages of manpower, which affects express delivery and the speed of shipping.

Local officials have been conducting mass testing in the city to implement “zero-COVID” policy.

Ding Xian, former head of Jing’an Branch of Shanghai Huashan Hospital, posted on April 24, pointing out that “zero-COVID” means “repeated nucleic acid testing, overwhelmed staff; huge crowds, and serious cross-infection.”

China accounts for about 12 percent of global trade. The regime’s “zero-COVID” measures have left factories and warehouses idled, hampered truck deliveries, and increased container congestion, further deteriorating global supply chains. After the major ports in east China such as Shanghai and Ningbo were shut down due to the appearance of COVID-19 cases, many companies went to Yiwu to load their containers, and now Yiwu has also been locked down.

Shen Rongqin, a professor at York University in Canada, told The Epoch Times earlier this month that many prosperous Chinese cities such as Shanghai and those in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces have been locked down, which has a great impact on China’s economy. The first impact is the disruption of the supply chain, which has affected the export industry. Secondly, China’s domestic demand has also been hit, with the service industry shrinking the fastest. That will lead to a large number of people losing their jobs.

True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht: ‘Mules’ Went on Routes Trafficking Ballots ‘Repeatedly, Day After Day’ Ahead of the 2020 Election

Dirty voter rolls, the mass use of mail-in ballots, and privately-funded drop boxes “combined together to create an easy pass lane for fraud,” as “mules” — or ballot traffickers — trafficked thousands of ballots, likely altering the outcome of the 2020 election, True the Vote president and founder Catherine Engelbrecht told Breitbart News Saturday.

Engelbrecht, who leads the election integrity organization True the Vote, previewed the upcoming film by Dinesh D’Souza, 2,000 Mules, which blows the lid off of the “organized crime” that took place leading up to the 2020 election. The film used data obtained by True the Vote, as Engelbrecht noted that they had so many calls “that had a similar characteristic of concern around what was happening with mail ballots and drop boxes.” Because of that, they focused on that issue.

“We geo fenced or put a sort of a digital fence, if you will, around all the drop boxes, and then we bought a tremendous amount of cellphone data and cellphone data that is transferred off of the apps of your phone that give you great indication about the whereabouts, the time, [and] the location,”she began, noting that they watched the travel patterns of devices going to drop boxes, doing so in five states in five jurisdictions. At the same time, the organization fought for surveillance video around the drop boxes and were ultimately able to thread it all together, as seen in the film.

She clarified one very important part of their study as well. It was not just the number of times a person went to a drop box, but also the number of times they went to nonprofit organizations.

“You had to go to a minimum number of nonprofit organizations and a minimum number of drop boxes. It varied slightly, state to state, jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but on balance … to make our study, you had to go to on average, five nonprofit organizations and 38 drop boxes for us to even collect you in our study,” she said, noting they were looking only at “extremes.”

“As damning as it is, is just the tip of the iceberg,” she said, noting that ballot harvesting rules vary from state to state. But even so, True the Vote weeded through the data.

“Now, I’ll say that in Georgia there’s a loophole, as you will oftentimes find an election laws, there’s always the loophole that … you could submit a ballot on behalf of a family member or someone who is in the hospital, someone who is infirm,” she said, explaining the process [of] doing so.

She said True the Vote closed “that gap through open records by querying to these jurisdictions for any list of any assists or signatures, accounts of ballots, anything that we could find and we found nothing. So every rock that we could kick over in this, we did,” she explained, confirming that there is evidence of potential crimes in the film.

Many of these “mules,” or ballot traffickers, she continued, would go on routes “repeatedly, day after day.”

“One of our sort of top performers, if you will, in one 24-hour period went to 27 different drop boxes across six counties and five different nonprofit organizations in one 24-hour period,” she said.

“But this is a — this is organized crime, and that’s what we need to get our arms around,” she said.

While she said they have to be cautious in how they describe the nonprofit organizations involved, Engelbrecht noted that “all of them were far left of center,” adding that they will release the data publicly in the coming weeks.

Toward the end of the interview, Breitbart News Saturday host and Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle asked if what occurred — which the organization shows through evidence — altered the outcome of the election.

“Yes. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, yes,” she said.
