SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -
The Scottsdale Police Department has identified a fourth homicide victim who was killed early Saturday morning at a commercial building.
On Sunday, Scottsdale Police Department identified the victim as 72-year-old Marshall Levine.
The homicide occurred just after midnight at a business near the area of Hayden and Mountain roads.
According to Scottsdale police Sgt. Ben Hoster, Levine was found dead in his office by an acquaintance. The acquaintance then immediately called 911.
Scottsdale police's evidence indicated that Levine had been shot.
During a press conference, Hoster said the police are trying to determine if the latest homicide is connected to the double homicide of paralegals and the shooting death of forensic psychiatrist Steven Pitt.
Hoster did confirm the first two cases, however, are connected.
“We are asking the public to remain vigilant and any tips or other information that they have that might be out of the ordinary to please call 911, so we can get that working," Hoster said.
Scottsdale police also identified the two victims in Friday's double homicide at a law office near Indian School and Miller roads.
The victims were identified as 48-year-old Veleria Sharp and 49-year-old Laura Anderson.
According to Scottsdale police, both victims worked as paralegals at Burt Feldman Grenier. The firm released this statement regarding the shooting at the firm’s office Friday:Elizabeth, Sandra and Marykay are shocked and deeply saddened by the horrific events that transpired Friday.
Laura has worked with us as family for more than ten years. Her intellect, passion and friendship has meant more to us than we can even begin to convey. She was more than a coworker, she was a friend, a mother, grandmother, daughter and wife and gave all of herself to her family, her friends and her work.
Veleria was a treasured member of our work family. She brought joy, calmness, warmth and compassion to all that she did. She was a dedicated mother, wife and daughter. She and her family shared a deep passion for music and their faith.
Our hearts are heavy for their families at this time. We are assisting the Scottsdale Police Department as they work to solve this horrible murder. We thank everyone for their concern and ask that you give us and their families privacy as we mourn these losses.
The victims include famed forensic psychiatrist Steven Pitt, who was involved in several high-profile cases, including the investigation into the death of JonBenét Ramsey in 1996. He was found shot dead in Phoenix after witnesses heard a loud argument and gunshots
