Twitter staff worried about ‘transphobe’ Musk – Insider

The social media company will still “fight for inclusion and diversity” after Musk’s buyout, aggrieved staff were assured

In an “emergency meeting” on Friday, employees of Twitter reportedly complained to CEO Parag Agrawal and diversity officer Dalana Brand that new owner Elon Musk is allegedly an “open homophobe and transphobe." They also allegedly expressed fears for their futures at the company.

The “impromptu” get togetherwas reported on Saturday by Insider, which claimed to have obtained leaked audio of proceedings. According to the news site, Agrawal fielded questions from staff concerned that they could lose their jobs amid rumors that Musk is planning on slashing executive pay.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO’s acquisition of Twitter has already led to some high-stress encounters in the firm’s Silicon Valley offices.

While unable to reassure everyone that they would keep their positions, Agrawal – who Inside said looked “tired and annoyed” – said that “for the people who are here, it will be worth it to be here.”

Some of the staff fretted thattheir company may no longer be known for its left-wing corporate culture.

What should we tell the LGTBQ community at recruiting conferences we're lined up to attend when they ask us why they should come work at Twitter when we just sold ourselves to an open homophobe and transphobe?” one reportedly asked Chief People and Diversity Officer Dalana Brand.

Brand, who was appointed to her position back in February, said that while she “cannot speak to Elon's personal feelings on these things,”she would ensure that “we'll continue to fight for inclusion and diversity for all of our teams. Full stop.”

Musk, a prolific Twitter user, does not have a history of anti-LGBT remarks, but has criticized Twitter’s management for censoring the Babylon Bee, a satirical outlet that was suspended from the platform for referring to Biden administration official Rachel Levine (who is transgender) as “man of the year.”Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon said earlier this month that Musk reached out to him after the ban and mused that “he might need to buy Twitter.”

Musk has also criticized Twitter management for censoring an incriminating story about President Joe Biden and his family’s overseas business dealings before the 2020 election, and has accused the site’s legal counsel, Vijaya Gadde, of harboring “left wing bias.”

Gadde – who oversaw the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story and is said to have ordered the banning of former US President Donald Trump from the platform – reportedly broke down crying during an earlier meeting of Twitter’s top executives. During the meeting, Gadde allegedly wept “as she expressed concerns about how the company could change” under Musk’s ownership, Politico reported.

The Tesla tycoon purchased Twitter on Monday for the sum of $44 billion, vowing to take it private and return the platform to its roots as “the free speech wing of the free speech party.” While a strident critic of censorship in all forms, Musk has since said that he will run Twitter in accordance with relevant laws.

US and UK team up against China – FT

American and British officials held their first meeting on the issue in early March, the media has learned

(Confirmed US and UK wants WWIII, attacking China at this time is lunacy)

High-ranking US and UK officials held secret talks in early March to discuss greater British involvement on the issue of Taiwan, according to a report by the Financial Times.

The negotiations involved Kurt Campbell, the White House's Indo-Pacific coordinator, and Laura Rosenberger, the top US National Security Council China official, and took place amid a broader two-day meeting on Indo-Pacific strategy between the sides, sources told the paper.

Campbell and Rosenberger addressed a range of issues from the possibility of London intensifying diplomatic contacts with Taipei to boosting so-called deterrence in Asia, one unnamed official revealed. The role that the UK would play if tensions over Taiwanlead to war between the US and China was also on the agenda, he added.

A UK official who talked to the paper said this was the “highest-level” and “most significant” bilateral discussion over Taiwan to date. “Naturally, crisis planning would be a hefty chunk of any such conversation about Taiwan,” he noted.

According to FT, the US is not seeking greater engagement from the UK because Taiwan is under imminent threat – the talks were part of a broader effort by the Biden administration to boost cooperation with America’s European allies on the issue.

Washington is now sharing intelligence on Taiwan that was previously classified as ‘NOFORN’ (which stands for ‘no foreign nationals’, meaning: not to be shown to foreign officials) with some of its allies, the sources said.

A senior Taiwanese official confirmed that Taipei has been aware of Washington’s efforts to involve more countries in its Taiwan planning. “They’ve been doing it with Japan and Australia, and now they’re trying to do it with Britain,” he said.

Both the White House and Downing Street declined to comment when approached by FT about the meeting.

Taiwan has been self-governed since 1949, but never formally declared independence from China. Beijing views the island of 23.5 million as a breakaway territory, under its One-China policy.

China is advocating for peaceful ‘reunification’ with Taiwan, but has not ruled out the use of force. Patrols and military drills around the island by the Chinese military have significantly intensified over the past year.

Washington maintains strong ties with Taipei, backing its push for sovereignty, while supplying arms to the island.

Beijing has expressed anger over these moves, calling them provocations and meddling in its internal affairs.

Several American officials claim that China has been closely monitoring the Russian military operation in Ukraine, learning lessons for a potential campaign against Taiwan.

Despite pressure from Washington, Beijing has been reluctant to condemn Moscow for its offensive in the neighboring country launched in late February, or to take part in the international sanctions against Russia.

Besieged Ukrainian commander appeals to Turkey

Leader of marines holed up in Mariupol has asked Ankara for help

Sergey Volina, the commander of Ukraine’s 36th Marines brigade, which is still entrenched at the Azovstal steel plant in the Black Sea port-city of Mariupol together with the neo-Nazi Azov regiment, has called on Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to “extract” Ukrainian troops from the city.

The commander was talking to Turkish broadcaster Haberturk TV late on Friday.

“I now call on the Turkish people and the president to launch the extraction procedure,” Volina said, urging Ankara to “do everything possible to take the Mariupol garrison to Turkey” and provide it with “security guarantees.”

The marines’ commander has admitted that his troops are in a “very difficult” situation after 65 days of fighting Russian forces. He has also revealed that those entrenched at the steel plant include =some 600 wounded soldiers==.

He did not elaborate on whether he was referring solely to his own unit or to the Azov regiment as well. Volyna has also maintained that there are civilians hiding in the underground catacombs beneath the vast complex of the steel plant and there are injured among them as well.

Ankara has not responded to this appeal in any way so far. The Black Sea port of Mariupol has seen intense fighting since the start of the Russian military action in Ukraine in late February. The city was encircled by Russian forces and militias of the two Donbass republics in early March.

The Ukrainian forces as well as foreign mercenaries and militants that initially holed up in the city eventually retreated to the Azovstal plant. Now, the site remains the last pocket of resistance. Built in Soviet times, the facility has a massive network of underground tunnels, turned into a fortress by the Ukrainian forces.

On April 21, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu told President Vladimir Putin that Mariupol has been fully under Russia’s control except for the Azovstal plant. The president then called off an assault on the facility and instead offered those entrenched there a chance to surrender.

Russia guarantees anyone who would lay down their arms their lives, as well as “decent treatment under all international norms,” Putin outlined at that time. Moscow also said it sought to organize humanitarian corridors for those willing to exit the Azovstal plant several times before April 21 but those attempts failed.

Instead, the Azov militants and the Ukrainian forces, including Voluna himself, demanded they be allowed to leave through the assistance of an unnamed "third party" while also keeping their personal weapons. They also maintained that surrender was not an option.

On April 22, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Ukrainian fighters and foreign mercenaries only need to raise white flags along the perimeter of Azovstal to be able to surrender. “This humanitarian offer by Russia remains in force 24/7,” it added. Some 2,000 Ukrainian fighters remain at the plant, according to the ministry’s estimates.

Kiev still maintains that Ukrainian forces would be able to rescue the troops holed up in Mariupol if provided with enough weapons. “There is a military way” to unblock Mariupol, President Volodymyr Zelensky told the media on April 21 as he called on western nations tosupply Ukraine with more pieces of heavy equipment. (When all the other heavy equipment blown up!!! Zelensky is no General McArthur. Kek)

German chancellor explains caution on arming Ukraine

Olaf Scholz says he won’t let polls and surveys determine “questions of war and peace”

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said that Berlin won’t take the lead in sending heavy weapons and vehicles to Ukraine. Pressed to do so by officials in Kiev and from within his own government, Scholz insisted that he won’t take any “hasty action” that could broaden the ongoing conflict.

“I make my decisions quickly and coordinate them with our allies,” Scholz told German tabloid Bild am Sonntag in an interview published on Sunday. “I am suspicious of hasty action and German solo efforts.”

The newspaper noted that Scholz’s phrasing indicates that as long as the United States and Germany’s other major allies are not sending Western-made battle tanks to Ukraine, Germany will not stand out and send such armaments to President Volodymyr Zelensky’s regime.

However, Scholz, a Social Democrat in office since December, has drawn intense criticism for not taking such a stand. Zelensky himself has asked Berlin to send armored vehicles and accused the German government of “earning [its] money in other people’s blood” by continuing to buy Russian oil and gas. Meanwhile at home, Scholz’s approval ratings have sunk, and members of his own government have publicly stated that Ukraine should be armed by the West, with no “excuses.”

You should take note of surveys, but you must not make your actions dependent on them, especially in questions of war and peace that would be extremely dangerous,” Scholz told Bild am Sonntag.

The chancellor has previously insisted that he doesn’t think it is “justified for Germany and NATO to become warring parties in Ukraine,” and that Germany “must do everything possible to avoid a direct military confrontation between NATO and a highly armed superpower like Russia.”

Nevertheless, Scholz has already broken with decades of conflict-averse foreign policy by sending thousands of anti-tank and surface-to-air weapons to Ukraine and hiking military spending. In a further step toward participation in the conflict, the German government gave the green light last week to the delivery of dozens of Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns to Kiev. In addition, Germany’s Rheinmetall arms manufacturer is currently awaiting Scholz’ approval to sell 88 decommissioned Leopard infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.

As much as Scholz has been criticized for his inaction, he has also come under fire for his actions. A group of prominent German politicians and public figures sent the government an open letter earlier this month urgingBerlin to cease all weapons shipments to avoid prolonging a bloody conflict that Ukraine “has little chance of winning.” BOOM!

Another letter published in a feminist magazine on Friday and signed by dozens of German cultural figures called on Scholz to “remember [his] initial position” and “not supply any more heavy weapons to Ukraine, either directly or indirectly.” Instead, they wrote, Berlin should “do everything” it can to broker a ceasefire.

Russia attacked its neighboring state in late February, following Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German- and French-brokered protocols were designed to give the breakaway regions special status within the Ukrainian state.

Ukraine is winning the battle on Twitter, but in the real world Kiev is losing the fight for the Donbas

Claims that Ukraine is set for victory on the ground are Kiev and Washington’s wishful thinking at best

Scott Ritter

(really long article on war strategy by Scott Ritter, for anons interested on his breakdown of what is really happening, its excellent)

Western media coverage of the Ukraine conflict has been so hysterically one-sided, and divorced from reality, that it's probably only a matter of time before Iraq's erstwhile 'Comical Ali' is brought out of retirement to insist that there are no Russians advancing towards the Ukrainian army's front lines.Meanwhile, the actual fighting continues to result in a string of defeats for Kiev's battered forces, who have already lost control of two major cities, despite unprecedented support from the US and its allies.

As American officials work with the government of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to craft a perception of Kiev's victory against the Russian military, Moscow is preparing to counter with a harsh dose of reality.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, on the heels of a dramatic visit to the Ukrainian capital of Kiev where, together with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, he met with Zelensky, testified before Congress that the goal of the Ukrainians in fighting their two-month-old conflict with Russia “would be to push the Russians out of the territory that they’re trying to occupy in eastern Ukraine.”

Blinken added that the administration of US President Joe Biden was providing “full support” to Kiev to achieve this goal. The Secretary of State added that Zelensky’s objective was to degrade the Russian military so that it would not be able to attack Ukraine in the “next month, next year or in five years,”echoing similar sentiments expressed by Lloyd Austin, who had declared that the goal of the US was to “see Russia weakened” so that it cannot “do the kinds of things that it has done [in Ukraine].”

The shared optimism of Blinken, Austin, and Zelensky comes from the joint embrace of a narrative of the Russian military operation against Ukraine which holds that the Russians are in the process of suffering a strategic defeat in Ukraine. But in a sign that this narrative may represent little more than wishful thinking on the part of these three leaders, the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, had a more nuanced take, noting that if Russia were to get away with what he termed its “aggression” against Ukraine “cost-free,” then “the global international security order” that has been in place since the end of the Second World War would be put at risk.

Far from projecting a sense of optimism as to the outcome of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Milley’s statements reflected a sense of urgency that comes with the recognition that the war in Ukraine has reached a critical juncture.

The gap between perception and reality when it comes to assessing the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is a direct result of the confusing nature of the conflict itself, where a well-oiled propaganda campaign waged by Ukraine and its western partners, both government and media alike, contrasts with a Russian public relations effort which is reticent to delve deeply into Russian strategic goals and objectives, let alone the day-to-day details of the fighting on the ground. The result is an information war where two competing narratives wage an unequal conflict, and perception is ultimately trumped by reality.

Some harsh truths

As the military operation in Ukraine enters its third month, some harsh truths have emerged which are altering how both the Russian armed forces and modern warfare will be assessed going forward. Few analysts—including this author—expected serious resistance to last more than a month. Indeed, General Milley had briefed Congress during closed-door briefings in early February that a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine could result in the fall of Kiev within 72 hours.

There were several reasons for such an assessment. First and foremost was the extensive preparation that had been conducted by Russia in advance of the military incursion. The movement of hundreds of thousands of troops along with their equipment and the logistical means to sustain both men and material in combat is not a trivial exercise, and Russia had been engaged in military drills which stretched out over the course of several months, perfecting such logistics. The Russian military is led by officers who excel in staff work and preparation, and to assume that they had planned for every possibility that could be encountered on the battlefield is not an outlandish proposition….

Former colony resists direct British rule

The British Virgin Islands’ acting premier says “draconian measures” would undermine the “historical constitutional progress”

(This is a replay of what the US and EU did to Ukraine, that has led to the disaster there since the coup in 2014)

The acting premier of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) has expressed deep concerns over London’s plans to assume direct governance of the Caribbean territory, following the arrest of its leader in a US drug sting operation and a highly-critical report into alleged systemic corruption.

On Friday, shortly before the premier of the BVI, Andrew Fahie, appeared before a US judge on charges of cocaine smuggling and money laundering, a commission of inquiry led by Judge Sir Gary Hickinbottom hurriedly published its final report, urging the UK to dissolve the islands’ elected government, suspend their constitution, and impose direct rule for at least two years.

“What this would mean in real terms is that there would no longer be elected representatives who represent the people of the districts and the territory in the house of assembly where laws are made for our society,” Natalio Wheatley, who assumed the post of acting premier after Fahie’s arrest, said.

London dispatched a Foreign Office minister, Amanda Milling, to meet the territory’s governor, James Rankin, and other senior figures and discuss the terms of direct rule, ahead of a formal decision expected next week.

The acting premier acknowledged “very serious matters highlighted in the report, which spanned successive Administrations,” and did not question the British Crown representative’s authority and responsibility to maintain order – but said the proposed reforms “can be achieved without the partial or full suspension of the constitution,” under already existing emergency powers.

I urge you the public to read the report with an objective eye in terms of strengthening our systems of Government under a democratic framework of governance, as opposed to draconian measures that would set back the historical constitutional progress we have made as a people.

Hickinbottom’s commission was established in 2021, amid claims of corruption and wasteful government spending, as well as rumors that the island’s leadership was engaging in drug trafficking. According to The Guardian, the British government was aware of the US undercover investigation, and decided to “rush out” the 1,000-page Hickinbottom report after Fahie was arrested.

Named by Christopher Columbus, the Virgin Islands are divided between the UK, the US, and the US territory of Puerto Rico. Around 35,000 BVI residents have been British citizens since 2002. While they enjoy limited self-governance under a 2007 constitution, the state is officially designated as one of the British Overseas Territories, known as crown colonies prior to 1983.

Woman? They sent to Virgin Islands

Amanda Milling

Not to be confused with Amanda Mealing.

Amanda Anne Milling[1] (born 12 March 1975) is a British politician serving as Minister of State for Asia and the Middle East since 2021 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Cannock Chase since the 2015 general election. She served as Minister without Portfolio in the UK cabinet and, alongside Ben Elliot, as Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party from February 2020 to September 2021. She previously worked in market research.

Milling was elected as a Conservative councillor for the Helmshore ward on the Rossendale Borough Council in Lancashire in 2009. Three years later she was promoted to deputy group leader on the council. She resigned her seat in 2014 after her selection as the Conservative candidate for the Cannock Chase constituency in Staffordshire.[5] The incumbent Conservative MP Aidan Burley had previously announced that he would be standing down at the next election.[6][7]

In the 2015 general election, she was elected with a majority of 4,923 (10.5%).[8] The following year, Milling was one of a number of MPs investigated by the Electoral Commission and the police for allegedly breaching spending regulations in the election.[9] The Commission fined the Conservative Party £70,000 in March 2017 for "significant failures" in its reporting of campaign spending.[10] After completing their investigation, the police referred the matter to the Crown Prosecution Service who concluded that, although there was evidence of inaccuracy in the reporting of spending, they would not take further action as it was not clear that candidates or agents had knowingly acted dishonestly.[11][12]

During the 2015–2017 parliament, Milling served on the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee, Education, Skills and the Economy Sub-Committee.[13] Parliamentary enquiries that she was part of include the collapse of BHS,[14] and the working practices at Sports Direct.[15] She also served on Bill Committees including for the Welfare Reform and Work Bill[16] and Policing and Crime Bill.[17]

Milling supported the UK remaining within the European Union in the 2016 UK EU membership referendum.[18] After the referendum, she helped to organise Boris Johnson's 2016 Conservative leadership campaign.[19] In the 2017 general election, she was re-elected with an increased majority of 8,391 (17.6%).[8] She was made an assistant government whip during the reshuffle on 9 January 2018.[20] Milling voted for then Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit withdrawal agreement in early 2019.[21]

After the election of Johnson as prime minister in July 2019, she was appointed as Deputy Chief Whip and Treasurer of the Household in his ministry.[22] She voted for Johnson's Brexit withdrawal agreement in October 2019.[23] In the 2019 general election, she was re-elected with an increased majority of 19,879 (42.9%).[8] As part of the 2020 cabinet reshuffle, Milling was promoted to Chairman of the Conservative Party and Minister without Portfolio.[24]

At the 2021 British cabinet reshuffle, Milling was made the new Minister of State for Asia and the Middle East, making her the only cabinet minister to leave the cabinet whilst remaining part of the government.[25] In April-May 2022 she was sent to the British Virgin Islands following the arrest of former premier, Andrew Fahie, on drugs running charges in the United States. The idea of direct rule from the UK was being considered but without the support of the acting premier Natalio Wheatley.[26][27]…

What are EU's chances of surviving without Russian gas?

Supplies to Poland and Bulgaria have been cut off after they refused to pay in rubles

On Wednesday, Russian energy giant Gazprom halted gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland via the Yamal-Europe pipeline for not complying with the mandate to pay in rubles. It is the first supply disruption since Russian President Vladimir Putin demanded “unfriendly countries” pay for natural gas in Russian currency from April 1 or risk being cut off from vital supplies.

What is Gazprom’s position?

The Russian energy giant has made it clear that the suspension of gas supplies would persist until the payments are made in rubles. Gazprom warned both Poland and Bulgaria, which are transit states, against any “unauthorized withdrawal” of gas supplies flowing through their territories. Otherwise, supplies for transit will be “reduced by this volume.”

How has the EU responded?

The European Commission has accused the Russian company of contract breach, describing the decision to halt supplies as attempted “blackmail.” Brussels said it was coordinating a response among EU member states.

What does the cut-off mean for Poland and Bulgaria?

Both countries heavily rely on Russian natural gas.Supplies from Gazprom cover about 50% of Poland’s consumption and about 90% of Bulgaria’s. According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, gas supplies to Poland increased by 9.4% in 2021 to 10.58 billion cubic meters. Deliveries to Bulgaria have doubled to 3.15 billion cubic meters. Polish officials say the country has sufficient gas reserves and there will be no shortage of gas in Polish homes as its gas storage was 76% full. Bulgaria’s government also said there would be no domestic restrictions on consumption, pointing out that supplies to customers were guaranteed for at least another month. Both countries are also trying to boost LNG imports.

Which European countries are most dependent on Russian gas?

The engines of the continent’s overall economy – Germany, Italy, and France – are the biggest EU importers of Russian gas. Germany imports around half of its gas from Moscow, while France gets a fifth of its supply, according to the latest data by Statista. Italy is also among the major consumers, relying on Russia for 46% of its imported gas. Some smaller European countries, such as North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Moldova rely exclusively on Russian energy. Finland and Latvia get 90% of their gas supply from Russia, and Serbia 89%.

Can Europe replace Russian gas?

It won’t be an easy task, economists say, noting that doing so would require major changes. The European Union relies on Russian natural gas to heat homes, cook meals, and generate electricity in most of the bloc’s 27 member states. Weaning Europe off of cheap and abundant Russian gas would be a far more disruptive prospect, experts warn. Some EU officials acknowledged that a sudden shift from Russian energy would be hard, causing a recession and inflation in the European economy.

(5 out of 9 points, Poland and Bulgaria is fucked)

Putin signs law on data sharing with ‘unfriendly’ states

Russian banks won’t be providing information on clients and transactions to certain foreign nations

(Cold war starting again)

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on Sunday barring the country’s banks from sharing data with government agencies from so-called ‘unfriendly’ nations that have illegally sanctioned Russian entities and individuals.

The new law prohibits the country’s financial institutions from responding to requests from foreign agencies, including judicial bodies, for information about their clients and transactions.

From now on, banks are instructed to reject such inquiries, citing Russian law as the reason for not processing such requests.

They should also notify the Central Bank within three days that a blacklisted country had been seeking data.

A request from an ‘unfriendly’ nation can only be fulfilled if the Central Bank receives approval for it from a relevant Russian government agency.

The new rules are being introduced to minimize the risks from foreign bank secrecy legislation that could threaten Russian financial institutions with fines for not providing information to foreign government bodies.Such a law was passed in the US in early 2021.

The list of ‘unfriendly’ countries, which includes the US, UK, the EU, Japan, and Australia, among other nations, was compiled by the Russian government in March.

The move was a response to the sanctions unleashed on Russia after the launch of its military operation in Ukraine in late February. Some of the measures targeted the Russian banking sector, such as disconnection from the SWIFT payment system and harsh restrictions slapped on leading banks.

Depot with Western arms destroyed – Moscow

The Russian Defense Ministry says that the weapons were shipped to Ukraine from the US and Europe

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday that it struck a storage of foreign weapons at a military airfield near the Black Sea port of Odessa in Ukraine.

Russian supersonic Oniks missiles destroyed a hangar with “weapons and ammunition received from the US and European states,” Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov told a daily press briefing. He added that a runway was destroyed as well.

The ministry also released a video of what it said was the missile launch. It wasn’t immediately clear when exactly it took place.Konashenkov also told the briefing that seven Ukrainian military targets were hit by airstrikes, including two S-300 air defense missile batteries near the cities of Zaporozhye and Artemovsk.

Russia claimed last week that it destroyed a logistics hub in Odessa where a batch of foreign weapons was being stored. Ukraine, however, insisted that several Russian missiles struck residential buildings, killing civilians.

Both Russia and Ukraine have denied striking civilian targets and accused each other of war crimes.

The Atlanta Public Schools Cheating Scandal (Mostly in Dekalb County)

Has anyone heard of cheating scandal where all schools destroyed the lives/education of mostly black children?

ATLANTA (CN) – A stunning and exhaustive report for the governor concludes that “thousands of school children were harmed by widespread cheatingin the Atlanta Public School System,” in institutionalized corruption of standardized tests, directed from the central office, for a decade. Teachers and administrators gave children answers, erased incorrect answers, hid and altered documents, offered monetary incentives to encourage the cheating, and punished employees who refused to cheat, according to the report.

More than 178 administrators and teachers from 56 elementary and middle schools in the Atlanta Public School System participated in the cheating on the standardized Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests, according to the 3-volume report of more than 800 pages. (Volume 2, Volume 3, interview with retired superintendent.)

Investigators foundcheating in 44 of the 56 schools they examined about the 2009 standardized CRCT tests, “and uncovered organized and systemic misconduct within the district as far back as 2001. Superintendent Beverly Hall and her senior staff knew, or should have known, that cheating and other offenses were occurring. Many of the accolades, and much of the praise, received by APS over the last decade were ill-gotten.”

All quotations and references in this article are to the 3-volume report, and an accompanying 405-page interview with former Atlanta Schools Superintendent Beverly Hall. Throughout the report, prepared for Gov. Nathan Deal and delivered to him on June 30, the Atlanta Public School System is referred to as APS.

What Happened

“We found 178 educators as being involved in cheating,” the report states. “Of these, 82 confessed. Thirty-eight of the 178 were principals, from two-thirds of the schools we examined. The 2009 erasure analysis suggests that there were far more educators involved in cheating, and other improper conduct, than we were able to establish sufficiently to identify by name in the report.”

The cheating took root as far back as 2001. Originating from the office of Superintendent Hall, it permeated the school system, from the district headquarters to principals’ offices and teachers’ classrooms of a majority of schools in the district. The Atlanta Public School System has more than 48,000 students.

“A culture of fear and a conspiracy of silence infected this school system, and kept many teachers from speaking freely about misconduct,” the report states. “From the onset of this investigation, we were confronted by a pattern of interference by top APS leadership in our attempt to gather evidence. These actions delayed the completion of this inquiry and hindered the truth-seeking process.”

Nearly a year ago, former Gov. Sonny Perdue selected a three-member team of investigators, led by former Attorney General Mike Bowers, former DeKalb County Georgia District Attorney Bob Wilson, and a former Atlanta Police Officer turned investigator, Richard Hyde, to look into the widespread allegations of teacher- and administrator-led cheating on standardized tests in Atlanta public schools.

For the report, the governor’s investigators – 51 agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, attorneys and staff from the Atlanta law offices of Balch & Bingham and Wilson Morton and Downs – interviewed more than 2,100 people and pored over more than 800,000 documents.

APS Is Run Like the Mob’

Throughout the Governor’s report, fear is the thread that sews together the actions of the superintendent’s office

By Any Means Necessary

Teachers and administrators faced humiliation in front of their peers, and at times in front of Hall herself, if they failed to meet the targets based on the CRCT data.

Follow the Money

Fear was not the only motivator for teachers and principals to meet their targets. Money was also involved.

I posted this article on the corrupt Atlanta public schools, but because Dekalb County is rife with crime at every level, including schools, law enforcement, local government leaders, election rigging, murders, killing if sheriffs, etc. just about every crime is amplified in Dekalb by a 1000%. It really is that corrupt

So not only was 2020 election and cheating in Fulton county, I’m almost positive at least 50% of the cheating happened in Dekalb
