That was my saying that has become part of the regular comms. Here is the backstory. I taught martial arts for many years, I would tell students, "A hero rises to the occasion, they don't make occasions". One of the problems with people who get some type of power is the need to use that power; which comes from low self esteem and the desire to be validated which is ego.
Only stand up to evil if you are willing to die destroying it.
