What if….the EU, and it's corrupt leaders, are trying to rebuild and reunite both the Western half, and eastern half, of the Roman empire, by using economics, with the help of their corrupt banker friends, instead of using the old traditional army route? Would what we see happening in the middle east etc, make more sense?

How would you get people who haven't gotten along for centuries, to work together? Order out of chaos? Cause so much economic disruption in their countries that they will finally concede to agree with your plan? The leaders generally only care about their money and power, they don't really give a rats ass about their people. The regular people are generally viewed as their source of power and wealth, but also as an inconvenience, they need the people, but despise them.
