Psaki: There is a dire need for money to continue to fund our needs on COVID…there were reports over the weekend…about a range of new subvariants that have prompted some surges in different parts of the United States.
Asked if Jankowicz will censor internet traffic about the Hunter Biden laptop, Psaki cited the 'extensive experience' of Jankowicz; no answer as to whether or not she will attempt to censor such information.
She used the phrase 'extensive experience', and also referred to some of Jankowicz's 'achievements'.
Psaki: It's not a proxy war. This is a war between Russia and Ukraine. NATO is not involved, the United States is not fighting this war. It's important and vital to not repeat the Kremlin's talking points on this front.
Kirby [Pentagon]: Our additional troop presence is in Europe because of the need to make sure we can defend NATO clearly, and to make it very clear to Mr. Putin that the United States takes our Article V commitments to NATO seriously. That is why we have added capability to Europe; not specifically tied to events on the ground in Ukraine.
