Seed Oil Rebellion: Video 1: 'Vegetable Oils: The Unknown Story'

First, [they] demonized saturated fats as the primary cause of Western Disease, then [they] demonized carbohydrates, specifically dextrose and then high fructose corn syrups as the primary drivers of Western Disease. While high fructose corn syrup is certainly not healthy and may even contain unacceptable levels of mercury, people don't get Type II diabetes from a high carb diet alone.

No, the REAL driver of Western Diseases is the oxidable omega-6 fatty acid, linoleic acid, derived from seed oils, such as soybean, corn, safflower, canola, peanut, almonds, etc.

>Lineolic acid is sold in health food stores as a supplement…

You may be thinking of the good omega 3 FA, alpha linolenic acid, found in Chia seeds

There is also "conjugated linoleic acid" (CLA), which is probably metabolized differently and not subject to the formation of the highly toxic free radicals in mitochondria, like normal linoleic acid.

Its complicated, but its mainly the processed refined foods that contain oxidized seed oils with high linoleic acid. Think potato chips and French fries cooked in soybean oil.

Whole nuts in limited quantities are ok because they contain natural vitamin E to prevent lipid peroxidation.

Watch the videoes I posted and you will understand what to avoid.

Just remember, you are safe with beef tallow, ghee (butter), or cold pressed coconut oil.
