Job openings also surpassed unemployed workers by a record 5.6 million.

The GDP contracted 1.4% in the first quarter of 2022 amid record inflation rates.

But Joe Biden claims the economy is booming and Americans are thriving.

Biden started rambling about ‘abortion rights’ as he took questions from reporters and lashed out at Trump supporters.

“What are the next things that are going to be attacked?” Biden said claiming overturning Roe v Wade could lead to LGBT children no being allowed in school classrooms.

“This MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in recent American history,” he added.

Ukraine Says Communications With Trapped Fighters In Azovstal Has Gone Dark

Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko has announced Wednesday that Ukrainian officials no longer have communications contact with the estimated couple thousand Azov fighters still holed up beneath the cavernous Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol.

Hundreds of civilians are also believed still trapped there, and running low on food, water and supplies. As we detailed Tuesday, for the first time in the weeks-long standoff for the sprawling complex, Russian forces attacked the plant as Azov fighters briefly emerged and reportedly set up firing positions.

These sporadic gun battles have continued, as part of the final showdown for Azovstal, and as the trapped Ukrainian militants vow to fight till the end, refusing Russian demands to immediately come out and surrender. Some few hundred civilians have also been safely led out over the past number of days under UN and Red Cross brokered ceasefires.

Mariupol Mayor Boichenko has issued a fresh statement: "Today there are heavy battles on the territory of our fortress, on the territory of Azovstal. Our brave guys are defending this fortress, but it is very difficult, because heavy artillery and tanks are firing all over the fortress; aviation is working, ships have approached and are also firing on the fortress."

Of the some 30 children said to be trapped among the civilians still beneath the plant, he said, "They are waiting for a new negotiation procedure and a new evacuation mission," and described a constant barrage of Russian artillery on the complex.

The mayor confirmed that any contact with those inside has 'gone dark'…

"Unfortunately, today there is no connection with the guys, there is no connection to understand what is happening, whether they are safe or not. Yesterday there was a connection with them; today, no more."

Amid recent Western media reports the Russians had "stormed" Azovstal overnight, the Kremlin has issued a statement rejecting this narrative.

Hunter's Laptop: Adam Schiff, CNN, Politico And Daily Beast Sued By Repairman Who Blew Whistle

The man who owned the computer repair shop where Hunter Biden abandoned his infamous 'laptop from hell' is suing several 'Russiagate' all-stars for millions.

John Paul Mac Isaac, who lost his business and endured harassment for 18 months after being falsely accused of peddling Russian disinformation, is suing Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), along with news outlets CNN, The Daily Beast and Politico.

"After fighting to reveal the truth, all I want now is for the rest of the country to know that there was a collective and orchestrated effort by social and mainstream media to block a real story with real consequences for the nation," the 45-year-old Mac Isaac told the New York Post.

The lawsuit cites a CNN interview two days after The Post's bombshell report in which he claims Schiff defamed him by citing - without evidence - that he believed the "Kremlin" was behind a smear of the Bidens.

"Well we know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin. That’s been clear for well over a year now that they’ve been pushing this false narrative about the Vice President and his son," Schiff told host Wolf Blitzer.

Russia jails fake USSR president

A former dentist claiming to be the head of a now non-existent country will serve prison time for extremism

A Moscow court on Wednesday sentenced a self-proclaimed acting president of the USSR to eight years in a penal colony for creating an extremist organization. A former Russian dentist, the convict has called for disobeying Russian laws and restoring the Soviet KGB.

“The court has found Sergey Taraskin guilty of establishing a public association [deemed extremist] and sentenced him to eight years in a penal colony,” Moscow’s Zelenogradskiy district court press-service told TASS. Two years will be extracted from his sentence since Taraskin has been under house arrest since 2020.

According to the self-proclaimed president, the dissolution of the USSR was illegal and de jure the country still exists. Therefore, he claims, the constitution of the Russian Federation has no power and Russian laws should be ignored. To enforce his rule, the former dentist issued a decree on his social media ordering to restore the Soviet KGB.

Taraskin, who also reportedly calls himself the ‘Master of the Universe’ and the ‘Fire God’, established the Union of Slavic Forces of Russia, also known as the USSR, in 2010. It all started when Taraskin’s business went bankrupt and the court ruled to evict his dental clinic from the rented premises.

But the dentist tried to appeal the court’s decision by claiming to not only be the interim president of the USSR but also the emperor and commander-in-chief of the Russian Empire. Later, he allegedly attempted to declare World War III against NATO. According to Russia’s FSB, Taraskin’s USSR has over 150,000 followers.

Russia Again Warns Any NATO Vehicle Entering Ukraine With Weapons Will Be Destroyed

Days ago Russia’s foreign minister issued a formal appeal to the United States to immediately halt the supply of Western arms to Ukrainian forces if they are “really interested in resolving the Ukraine crisis.”

“If the US and NATO are really interested in resolving the Ukraine crisis, then first of all, they should wake up and stop supplying the Kyiv regime with arms and ammunition,” Sergey Lavrov had said. On Wednesday Russia's Defense Minister has repeated the warning that the military will now actively target for destruction any inbound weapons shipments identified in Ukraine:

"The United States and its NATO allies continue to pump weapons into Ukraine. I can confirm that any transport from the North Atlantic alliance that arrives in the country with weapons or materiel for the Ukrainian armed forces will be considered by us as a legitimate target for destruction," Shoigu said according to state sources.

The warning comes after the US has led the way in pumping billions in military aid to Kiev, also after this week the UK approved a fresh $375 million package. Germany has also lately approved sending heavier weaponry, though Berlin has also said its own military stockpiles are depleted and running low.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday Russia launched a large number of cruise missiles apparently targeting railway and electrical infrastructure in various regions of Ukraine, including in the Western city of Lviv, knocking out power to large swathes of the city for hours overnight.

Ukraine's military command previously commented that targeting rails has been part of ongoing Russian efforts to completely disable the country's military transport infrastructure, specifically with an eye on foreign arms transfers. Kiev and the UN have also condemned attacks on civilians and vital civilian transport at a time of unprecedented numbers of internally displaced war refugees.

A Ukrainian military statement published last week alerted the public that the Russians "are trying to destroy the supply routes of military-technical assistance from partner states. To do this, they focus strikes on railway junctions."

Deliberations on controversial cases have in the past been fluid. Justices can and sometimes do change their votes as draft opinions circulate and major decisions can be subject to multiple drafts and vote-trading, sometimes until just days before a decision is unveiled. The court’s holding will not be final until it is published, likely in the next two months.

Nevertheless, America’s outrage has shifted from Ukraine and Elon Musk…. to abortion. The fact that abortion is an issue of the state at all, no matter which ‘side you are on,’ is Orwellian. Government has no more business paying for or advocating for abortions than they do stopping them.

Unfortunately, many people allow emotion to rule their logic and end up holding beliefs which are entirely contradictory. For example, since the covid vaccine has been approved by the FDA, many of the same folks who support a woman’s right to choose were completely resolute with taking away that right to choose when it came to taking the jab. The cognitive dissonance is rife.

Unfortunately, abortion is a reality, and society is slowly figuring out how to deal with it. But, the more the state attempts to interject their bias into this reality, the more skewed the situation becomes. Case in point: asking your rapist for permission to not have his baby or people singing about and celebrating the fact that they have had multiple abortions.

The fact of the matter is a society that treats the potential for life as disposable is a society in a crisis of conscience, and in need of self-reflection. However, the state’s involvement in the matter has only served to complicate the issue, prolong suffering, and, as the following example illustrates, serve as a massive distraction by keeping the masses fighting amongst each other.

Report: Zelensky received PR advice from Netanyahu aides

In April the Ukrainian president started a social media campaign under the hashtag #ArmUkraineNow with the goal of exerting public pressure on Western governments

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky consulted in recent weeks with a pair of public relations advisers to Israeli opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu in a bid to galvanize military support for his country as it defends itself from Russia’s invasion, according to a report Tuesday.

Walla news said Zelensky received advice from Srulik Einhorn, who was a senior adviser for Netanyahu’s Likud party during the last election. He also reportedly consulted with Jonatan Urich, a longtime Netanyahu aide who continues to serve as the former prime minister’s spokesman.

Both Einhorn and Urich now work at strategic consulting firm perception.media, along with Ofer Golan, another Netanyahu aide.

Einhorn previously lauded Zelensky’s media efforts on behalf of his country, penning an op-ed in March that detailed the president’s media tactics.

“It can be stated that the social-media campaign conducted by Ukraine is one of the most brilliant campaigns orchestrated by countries in recent decades,” Einhorn wrote in The Jerusalem Post.

Zelensky has appealed to world leaders and the public to support his country’s fight for freedom through widely shared videos and remotely made speeches to world parliaments.

In April, Zelensky launched a social media campaign under the hashtag #ArmUkraineNow, with the goal of exerting public pressure on governments to supply arms to Ukraine. He urged people to post photos of themselves with the hashtag and to share the message among their friends and social media followers.

That same month, Zelensky met with US officials as part of his larger plea for the West to deliver heavy arms to Ukraine. The president has called for more arms against Russia’s campaign in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, where Moscow’s forces sought to dislodge the last Ukrainian troops in the battered port of Mariupol.

Alleged Russian Cyber Threats Fueled Nearly 2 Million Warrantless FBI Searches of Americans’ Data in 2021

In total, the FBI ran 3.39 million warrantless data searches in 2021

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence released its Annual Statistical Transparency Report for 2021, which for the first time included the number of warrantless searches of US citizens’ electronic data conducted by the FBI.

According to the report, the FBI conducted about 3.39 million searches of Americans’ data without a warrant. The searches are technically legal under Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Of the 3.9 million searches, the majority were conducted in response to claims of Russian cyber threats. According to The Washington Times, about 1.9 million of the searches were made in response to one alleged Russian cyber threat to critical US infrastructure.

It’s not clear what threat the FBI was responding to, and the US often accuses the Russian government of launching cyberattacks without offering evidence to back up the accusations. However, the US blamed the 2021 Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack on the Russian hacking group REvil, and the Russian government responded by dismantling REvil at the behest of Washington.

The searches for 2021 marked a significant increase from the prior year. According to the report, in 2020, the FBI conducted 1.32 million warrantless data searches. The report said the FBI can conduct such searches on persons “that are both reasonably likely to return foreign intelligence information and … queries that are reasonably likely to return evidence of a crime.”

The release of the search numbers was the result of legislation led by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) aimed at protecting Americans’ privacy. “The public deserves to know whether the FBI has fully addressed the extensive abuses of its 702 search authorities that have been documented for years. Baseline transparency is essential if the federal government wants to hold such sweeping surveillance powers,” Wyden said.

Musk himself responded to the letter asking who funded them: the answer being an assortment of 'dark money groups' like George Soros's Open Society Foundation; NGOs founded by former Clinton and Obama administration staffers; wealthy Democrat donors and their family foundations; labor unions; and the governments of European nations.

'Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter will further toxify our information ecosystem and be a direct threat to public safety, especially among those already most vulnerable and marginalized,' they wrote.

They warned that advertising on Twitter would see their company 'risks association with a platform amplifying hate, extremism, health misinformation, and conspiracy theorists.'

The authors continued: 'Under Musk's management, Twitter risks becoming a cesspool of misinformation, with your brand attached, polluting our information ecosystem in a time where trust in institutions and news media is already at an all-time low.

'Your ad dollars can either fund Musk's vanity project or hold him to account. We call on you to demand Musk uphold these basic standards of community trust and safety, and to pull your advertising spending from Twitter if they are not.'

Biden Praises Lockheed Martin for Making Javelin Missiles in Alabama Plant Visit

The visit comes amid concerns over Javelin supplies as the US has been sending thousands to Ukraine

On Tuesday, President Biden visited a Lockheed Martin plant in Alabama that manufactures Javelin anti-tank missile systems, a weapon the US has been pouring into Ukraine to help Kyiv in its fight against Russia.

In a speech at the plant, Biden praised Lockheed Martin workers for producing the weapon for Ukraine. “The bottom line is I came to say thank you, thank you, thank you. That’s the reason I’m here,” he said.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, the US has sent over $3 billion in military aid to the Ukrainians, including thousands of Javelin missiles. Biden is preparing to support Ukraine against Russia in the long term and has asked Congress for $33 billion in new aid for Kyiv, which includes $20.4 billion in military assistance.

“As I said from the beginning, this fight is not going to be cheap,” Biden said. He told the Lockheed Martin workers that he is “urging” Congress to pass the $33 billion in Ukraine aid quickly so they can keep “all of you very, very busy for a while here.”

Javelins are a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. The two companies and other US arms manufacturers stand to make massive profits over Biden’s push to arm Ukraine and the NATO military buildup in Eastern Europe.

Raytheon also produces Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, which the US started sending to Ukraine for the first time when Russia invaded. Biden’s visit to Alabama came amid concerns over the supply of Javelins, Stingers, and the US stockpiles of other weapons it has been pouring into Ukraine.

Raytheon has warned it cannot produce more Stingers for a few years due to material shortages, prompting senators to call on Biden to invoke the Defense Production Act. Invoking the law would allow US weapons manufacturers to cut the line ahead of other domestic manufacturers for critical materials, such as semiconductors. According to Biden, each Javelin Lockheed Martin produces requires over 200 semiconductors.

While doing everything he can to arm Ukraine, Biden has abandoned diplomacy with Moscow and appears to show no interest in pushing for a negotiated end to the war. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Biden’s top diplomat, hasn’t spoken with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, since February 15.

US officials have made clear that their plans in Ukraine go beyond Kyiv winning the war. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who served on the board of Raytheon before taking his post at the Pentagon, recently said one of the US goals in Ukraine is to see a “weakened” Russia.

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov enraged Israeli and Jewish leaders this week with his claim that “Hitler also had Jewish blood.”

The head of the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial called the remarks a “blood libel”; Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said the comments were “unforgivable and scandalous”; and Israel summoned Russia’s ambassador for clarification.

Lavrov made the claim on Sunday in an interview with Italian television, arguing that the fact that Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky is Jewish does not contradict Moscow’s claims that it had launched its invasion of the country to “de- Nazify” it.

The stubbornly persistent — and dangerous — idea of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler having Jewish ancestry dates back as far as the 1920s, focusing on the origins of Hitler’s paternal grandfather.

Hitler’s father, Alois, was born in 1837, the illegitimate child of 42-year-old Maria Anna Schicklgruber. No father is recorded on his baptism certificate, which became the source of the speculation that Hitler’s grandfather was actually Jewish.

“Rumours to that effect circulated in Munich cafes in the early 1920s, and were fostered by sensationalist journalism of the foreign press during the 1930s,” wrote Ian Kershaw in his biography, “Hitler.”

Wild speculation abounded, including that Alois’s parentage could be traced to a Jewish family in Bucharest named Hitler, or that the fabulously wealthy Baron Rothschild sired Alois when his mother was working as a servant in the Rothschild mansion in Vienna.

Zelensky: With Nazism claims, Russia ‘following same concept of Goebbels’

Ukrainian leader laments world’s ‘weak’ response so far to Lavrov’s claim that Hitler had Jewish blood

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday that Russia equating him to Adolf Hitler and suggesting he and others in his country’s leadership were antisemites was a continuation of Nazi Joseph Goebbels’ propaganda tactics.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Sunday that Hitler had “Jewish blood,” and on Tuesday, the foreign ministry accused Israel of backing “the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv.” Zelensky is Jewish.

Speaking to Fox News, Zelensky said Moscow was “following the same concept of Goebbels and they are using the same methodology” in the effort to justify the war on Ukraine.

Goebbels was Nazi Germany’s Reich Minister of Propaganda and helped push the Nazi Party’s antisemitic agenda to the country’s masses and set the stage for the Final Solution.

Zelensky added: “I think the reaction in the world is still weak to these remarks by Lavrov.”

Lavrov’s remarks sparked outrage in Israel, which called the statement “unforgivable and outrageous” and a “terrible historical error.”

Doubling down, Russia’s foreign ministry on Tuesday accused Israel of backing “the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv.”

Judicial Watch Statement on the Leak of the Draft Opinion in the Dobbs v Jackson Case

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement on the leak of the draft opinion in the Dobbs v Jackson case.

The leak of the Supreme Court draft opinion on Roe is a dangerous obstruction of justice. And, it could very well lead to intimidation and violence directed at Supreme Court justices.

This unprecedented leak fits with the Left’s continued assault against the Supreme Court. As soon as the news of the leaked opinion broke, left-wing protesters were at the Supreme Court.

There must be a full investigation, but I’m not holding my breath when it comes to the Biden administration upholding the rule of law – especially when administration allies, including Sen. Chuck Schumer, have threatened the justices in the past.

In the meantime, let’s hope the rule of law prevails and the precious lives of unborn human beings can once again be protected under law.

In December 2021, Judicial Watch announced that it filed an amicus curiae brief with the Supreme Court in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade. The brief was filed in the Dobbs case, being argued today before the Supreme Court. The Judicial Watch brief, filed in support of the constitutionality of Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act, argues that states have the right under the Constitution to regulate abortion and protect unborn life. In its brief, Judicial Watch argues the Supreme Court should overturn Roe and restore the regulation of abortion to the state:

Despite creative judicial legislating, it is crystal clear that abortion does not involve war, peace, negotiation, foreign commerce, or taxation. Abortion fits squarely into the states’ sphere of objects that concern the “lives, liberties, and properties of the people.” Not being an enumerated power, the Roe Court did not have the authority to overturn the abortion laws of the states.

Additionally, Judicial Watch notes that Roe v. Wade didn’t provide clarity, but instead muddied the waters:

Far from creating a national consensus, Roe threw the states into a 48-year contentious legal battle. Even some abortion advocates eschew the injudicious method of federalizing abortion as short-circuiting a naturally evolving jurisprudence under state laws. As federal and state judges attempt to apply this Court’s precedents, a national landscape of inconsistent, inconclusive, and untenable rules have emerged. As a national policy, abortion jurisprudence is, in a word, a mess. Stubbornly holding on to unconstitutional precedent will never have a positive outcome. It is time to return abortion policy to the states where it belongs and where the democratic process can effectively work.

Forged absentee ballots discovered in Harris County, Texas, from 2020 election, all for Democrats

In 2005, former President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat, and former Secretary of State James Baker, a Republican, put out a report on how to improve election integrity that made one key point: The country should never adopt mass mail-in balloting because it is ripe for fraud.

Regarding the joint report, the Baker Institute For Public Policy noted recently:

Sixteen years later, many of the recommendations remain relevant. While the COVID-19 pandemic and record number of voters who cast absentee or mail-in ballots raised concerns about the security of the 2020 absentee process, the Carter-Baker report warned: “Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.”

There is one party that not only favors widespread mail-in balloting to ‘enhance democracy,’ but they also seem to benefit most from it: Democrats.

All of these points are being driven home anew following the recent discovery of ballots cast during the ‘clean and secure’ 2020 election in Harris County, Texas, home to Houston, all of which were either cast on behalf of dead people or in the case of one ballot, a person who has not lived in Houston for decades.

According to Trash Talk Texas, one of the five ballots belonged to a woman who died decades ago.

The site noted that Kathleen Hooey allegedly filled out an application for an absentee ballot to vote in the 2020 election, but in fact, she’s been deceased since 1991. And again, she requested a Democratic ballot.

“That same day, the County Clerk’s Office received another annual application for ballot by mail, including the Democratic Primary, from voter Gloria Chambers who is registered to vote at 10525 Barnham Street in Houston,” the site continued.

“The voter was born in 1946 so she qualifies to vote by mail in Texas. Her application was signed and mailed on time – and was even signed by an assistant/witness named Tomar Bishop. So all looks good,” the outlet noted further, adding: “Except Gloria Chambers passed away in 2010 – 10 years BEFORE this application was signed and mailed.”

On the same day, the county clerk’s office got another Democratic ballot application from one Jessie Burks, which was also co-signed by Tomar Bishop. But Burks, too, is deceased, having passed away in 2015.

UN Rapporteur: Swiss Banking Laws Curtail Free Speech

A Swiss parliament committee will discuss on Thursday a provision of the country’s controversial banking secrecy law that has effectively muzzled journalists and whistleblowers from revealing that war criminals, drug traffickers, their money launderers and other criminals keep their ill-gotten funds in Swiss banks.

The infamous article 47 of Switzerland’s ‘Federal Act on Banks and Savings Banks’ prescribes a prison sentence of up to three years and a fine for whoever discloses confidential information about a client.

This did not scare the 164 foreign reporters who combed through leaked account data from Credit Suisse — Switzerland’s second-largest bank — revealing clients including an Algerian general accused of torture, a Serbian drug lord and the children of a brutal Azerbaijani strongman.

But no Swiss reporters took part in the investigation. All they could do was wish good luck to their colleagues abroad.

To Switzerland’s credit, no journalist has ever been prosecuted under article 47, but having the law on the books at all stopped many reporters from even getting their stories off the ground.

The article has “a chilling effect and leads journalists to self-censor. This is prior-censorship, that is, censoring the media before they can even investigate or publish,” the United Nations special rapporteur for freedom of opinion and expression, Irene Khan, told Tamedia and Der Spiegel.

“This is normally a problem in authoritarian states,” she added. “The [Credit Suisse] data show that bank clients were involved in numerous crimes: From corruption and bribery to drug and human trafficking. There is a public interest in knowing about possible financial crimes.”

Hours after the Suisse Secrets investigation was published in February, Samira Marti, a politician from the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland called for the abolition of the article and urged other parties to support the idea.

“Censorship article prohibits Swiss media from uncovering tax crimes. That needs to change,” she tweeted.

Khan wrote a letter to the Swiss government at the beginning of March, reminding that the article contradicts the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights. The two conventions guarantee freedom of expression and freedom of the press and Switzerland has signed both, she said.

Two months later, the issue is on the table and Thursday’s discussion might produce a proposal to scrap the article.

If not, Khan plans to bring the issue up with the UN’s human rights council in June. Switzerland actively participates in the work of the council and has repeatedly criticized the actions of other countries against journalists.

“That is why it is important that Switzerland now reacts itself and changes such a problematic law. Switzerland must not only preach. It must also act,” she said.
