Donald Trump's run of endorsing political candidates who go on to win their respective elections could soon be coming to an end, with two of his more high-profile picks facing defeat.

On Tuesday, a total of 22 of Trump's chosen candidates in the Indiana and Ohio primaries won their respective races, including author J.D. Vance, who was way behind in the polls a the crowded field before the former president intervened just three weeks ago.

Trump, who has endorsed dozens of people across all forms of government, is currently on a 55-0 streak with regard to picking candidates.

Tuesday's success for Trump followed from the Texas primaries in March in which all 33 of his endorsed candidates won outright or were advanced into a runoff.

However, it should be noted that a number of these candidates were already the overwhelming favorite to win their election, such as Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott.

Following Vance's victory in Ohio, another test of the power of Trump's endorsement will arrive in the upcoming Republican gubernatorial primary in Georgia—where Trump is baking former Senator David Perdue over incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp—and the Senate primary in Pennsylvania, where the former president has endorsed celebrity heart surgeon Mehmet Oz.

However, with both primaries just a few weeks away, it is looking likely that one, or possibly both, of Trump's endorsed candidates could lose.

According to the polls, Kemp holds a significant lead over Perdue.

An InsiderAdvantage/FOX 5 Atlanta poll published on Monday shows that Kemp has 54 percent support, compared to 38 percent for Perdue.

The numbers look even worse for Perdue in a poll from consulting firm ARW Strategies poll published on Wednesday. According to the survey, 59.4 percent of people said they would vote for Kemp in the primary if the election was held today, compared to just 21.5 percent who would back Perdue.

The polls have never really looked good for Purdue during the campaign. In April, conservative radio host John Fredericks even told Trump to "face reality" that Perdue could lose the May 24 primary. At the time, Kemp was between seven and 11 points ahead in the polls.

It is a lot closer in the Pennsylvania GOP primary, where no single candidate is the overall favorite and a large percentage of voters are still undecided who to back on May 17.

Trump received some blowback for his endorsement of the political novice Oz over concerns he may not be conservative enough.

While the TV personality is arguably the most well-known name in the Pennsylvania primary, this has not necessarily resulted in the backing of voters.

In April 7, an Emerson College Polling/The Hillpoll found that former hedge fund CEO David McCormick is the lead candidate with 18 percent, with Oz just behind on 17 percent, with 33 percent of voters still undecided.

When undecided voters are allocated to who they lean towards, McCormick's lead increases to 27.2 percent, followed by Oz with 20.6 percent.

Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, noted that Oz "seems to lack a clear base," which may damage his changes in the upcoming primary.

However, just a few weeks later a Monmouth University Poll placed Oz as the candidate voters are most likely to support in the primary in a very close race.

According to the survey, 22 percent of people said they are "very likely" to back Oz, compared to 19 percent for McCormick and 18 percent for political commentator and author Kathy Barnette.

"This is the kind of environment where a number of candidates could emerge as the nominee," said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute.

"Oz has the highest name recognition but also the highest negatives. If McCormick and Oz beat each other up, though, Barnette could realistically end up on top."

Speaking to Fox News after the Ohio and Indiana primaries in which 22 of his candidates won, Trump said the GOP primary in Pennsylvania is going to be "interesting."

"The Oz race is going to be interesting. I think Oz is going to do very well. Oz is going to do very well," Trump said.

Astute observers of President Joe Biden and his press events may have noticed a decline in Oval Office meet and greets with reporters present. A new report reveals a rather unflattering reason for the dearth of Oval Office scrums hosted by the Commander in Chief: no permanent teleprompter can be installed.

Jonathan Lemire and Meredith McGraw reveal this interesting detail in a thorough Politico report on a looming 2024 election that seems more and more likely to be a rematch between Biden and former President Donald Trump.

The teleprompter bit is presented in the context of growing concern among his political allies that the 79-year-old Biden might not be up for the rigorous task of a presidential campaign. Trump is 75 years old.

Lemire and McGraw report:

Still, some allies and Democrats privately worry that Biden may not be able to handle the rigors of another campaign.

A bone he broke in his foot while playing with his dog in late November 2020 still occasionally bothers Biden, resulting in a slower and shorter gait. And the White House has largely abandoned using the Oval Office for press events in part because it can’t be permanently equipped with a teleprompter; Biden aides prefer the fake White House stage built in the Old Executive Office Building next door for events, sacrificing some of the power of the historic backdrop in favor of an otherwise sterile room that was outfitted with an easily read teleprompter screen.

Biden has been open about his lifelong struggles with a stutter, which he largely overcame during a, shall we say, spryer time in his political career. And while the sitting president has occasionally dropped a gaffe here and there, he has also been able to command a roughly two-hour press conference with relative ease.

News that Biden is becoming increasingly reliant on the present teleprompter, however, will do nothing for the narrative that he has lost a step or two, and is certain to become A-block fodder on conservative media programming.

A former Marine who was kicked out of the Corps for sharing white supremacist messages online is running for office in Kentucky.

Thomas Cade Martin is currently running for District 4 constable in Bullitt County, but he was separated from the Marine Corps in September 2020 after posting a meme with the white supremacist slogan "not stolen, conquered" over a map of the U.S. and other white nationalist propaganda, reported Task & Purpose.

“Martin’s premature discharge and rank are indicative of the fact that the character of his service was incongruent with Marine Corps’ expectations and standards,” said Marine spokeswoman Yvonne Carlock at the time. “Due to the associated administrative processes, further details are not releasable.”

He had been serving as anti-tank missile gunner with the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, at Camp Pendleton, California, when he was given a field grade non-judicial punishment and busted down from lance corporal to private first class, and he was later kicked out of the service branch.

Martin claimed in an April 28 post on Facebook that he was a “victim of cancel culture” and insisted that he was honorably discharged and retained all of his earned benefits.

In addition to his white supremacist social media posts, Martin founded an organization called the United States Nationalist Initiative, whose vice president Everett Corley was condemned by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in 2018 for appearing four years earlier on a white nationalist YouTube channel called "The Ethno State."

He also commented that an Instagram showing Hitler's ghost in Paris gave him "chills," and he shared his hope for “future blue eyed blonde haired mistress” to “help contribute to the preservation of my lineage."

Martin's campaign page on Facebook frequently mentions his Marine Corps service, as well as photos of him in uniform along with videos of him firing weapons, and he deletes comments from locals who point out his white supremacist background.

He recently appeared alongside Corley, who served as a Donald Trump delegate and is running for Kentucky state Senate, at a candidates forum last month.

https://www.ibtimes.sg/daniel-alfin-was-fbi-agent-killed-florida-investigating-child-porn-hunter-bidens-laptop-55391

On Feb. 2, two FBI agents were killed while serving a search warrant in Sunrise, Florida, during an investigation in a child pornography case. The slain agents were identified by the FBI as Special Agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger.

In the wake of the incident, social media users started pushing the conspiracy theory that Alfin was the lead investigator in the probe surrounding Hunter Biden's laptop. The meme that was used to push the wild theory also cited the presence of child pornography on the laptop belonging to President Joe Biden's son – a claim that surfaced in the days leading up to the presidential election.

Conspiracy theorists tried to further their claims with a report claiming Alfin "was a veteran agent who investigated one of the country's largest child pornography operations."

The origins of this claim can be traced back to the saga surrounding Hunter Biden's laptop. In October, the New York Post "leaked" email conversations of Hunter's overseas business dealings, as previously reported. According to the Post, the emails were retrieved from Hunter's laptop after it was left at a repair shop in Delaware in April 2019.

The shop's owner, John Paul Mac Issac, later handed over the device to former President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who then provided a copy of the hard drive to the Post.

Although the Post reported in detail on the contents of the laptop, the Post did not mention that they found evidence of child pornography on Hunter's laptop. The claims, which were flagged as false by Politifact, were amplified by various conspiracy websites and social media posts in the run-up to the election and echoes the sentiments of the unfounded QAnon conspiracy theory, which claims that high profile figures including the Bidens, the Clintons, and others, are part of an elite cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles.

According to Fox News, the FBI took possession of the laptop and its hard drive in 2019 by issuing a subpoena. The report included a photograph an FBI "Receipt for Property" form, which details the bureau's interactions with the repair shop's owner. The document was signed by an FBI Special Agent named Joshua Wilson.

According to the FBI, Alfin and Schwartzenberger were assigned to FBI's Miami field office and the formerhad been working cases involving crimes against children out of the Florida city since 2017, which suggests Hunter's laptop investigation would be miles away from his jurisdiction.

There is no real-world evidence to prove these claims that Alfin was working on a purported investigation into a laptop that allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden and it appears that the alleged connection was "invented to stir up a specter of conspiracy where none was present," according to fact-checking website Snopes.
