The bible is a collection of scripture and it's not complete, for example Jesus in the bible refrences scripture that's not in the bible. Jesus also warned you about the yeast of the pharisees. Do you understand what yeast symbolizes?
The bible is not the Word of God, it talks about the Word of God. Sometimes you have to look past the words and see the Word. Scripture is inspired by God and very useful, but it itself is not the Word.
