Freedom of Choice

Choice: Birth control methods - many choices available

A man and a woman choose to have unprotected sex.

They have made a choice.

They have chosen to act recklessly without thought to consequences.

Choice: unintended pregnancy, choose to terminate or not

A woman knows in a month that she is possibly pregnant.

There is a pill she can take ASAP to quickly terminate.

She can address this situation or CHOOSE to NOT address it.

Choice: 3rd month and fetus approaches full development

The woman can have an ultrasound toh ensure the fetus is healthy.

She has already made the choice to KEEP the pregnancy.

Now she has a final choice. Is the fetus healthy.

If it appears that the fetus is grossly malformed or

if the fetus is damaged to the extent that it will have a life of suffering

the mother can make this FINAL choice.

Terminate or do not terminate.

At this stage of pregnancy, the fetus has established its viability.

If the developing child becomes damaged

and a doctor can provide evidence to a medical board

then a decision can be made BASED ON MEDICAL PROBLEMS.

THESE ARE ALL CHOICES.

So… if we allow this to be otherwise

will we have to address the selling of fetuses to the black market?

Will there be a baby market?

So ladies

you do have choices.

Society must also have a choice…

whether it is abhorent to allow the reckless behaviors involved

or whether such degradation of respect for human life is acceptable.

Society is making a choice that these things aren't acceptable.

Abortion shouldn't be considered a method of birth control.
