Congressman says watchdog found police entered his office for 'criminal' probe, not open door

"I exposed the Capitol Police leadership team for failing to do their damn job. And if they would have done their job, J6 would have never ever happened" – Nehls

Texas Republican Rep. Troy Nehls says a forthcoming Inspector General report will show he was "under criminal investigation" when Capitol Police officers entered his Capitol Hill office and began taking photos in November 2021.

In February, Nehls publicly disclosed that Capitol Police had told him he was not the subject to an investigation after the Nov. 20 and 22 incidents in which officers entering his office.

Nehls said Friday on the John Solomon Reports podcast that a "full report" from the Capitol Police Inspector General's Office on the matter will be released to him next week after having recently received an "executive summary" of the report.

He alleges that on Nov. 20, a Capitol Police officer entered his office without his knowledge and photographed "confidential legislative products protected by the Speech and Debate clause” of the Constitution," purportedly on a whiteboard.

Chief J. Thomas Manger said an officer saw that Nehls' office door was left "wide open," and that if a member’s office is vacant, left open and unsecured, "officers are directed to document that and secure the office to ensure nobody can wander in and steal or do anything else nefarious," according to the newspaper Roll Call.

A couple of days later, Capitol Police personnel reportedly followed up with Nehls’ staff and determined there was no need for investigation or further action, Manger said.

Nehls said that on Nov. 22, three department intelligence officers tried to enter his office and that upon discovering that one of his staffers was present, the Capitol Police special agents, who he said were dressed like construction workers, questioned the staffer on the contents of a photograph that was taken. Nehls said the department never told him or senior staff of "their investigation," Roll Call also reports.

"What it's going to show is that the Capitol Police were trying to preserve evidence taking this picture," Nehls said Friday. "And so the IG will tell you that I was under investigation when you've got the chief of police saying I was never under investigation. I can assure you, I was under criminal investigation. So I'm looking forward to getting this report on next week."

UK Train Worker Sues After Being Fired For Questioning “White Privilege” Training

A train worker is suing a company who fired him for questioning “white privilege” diversity training during a conversation with his wife.

60-year-old Simon Isherwood, who works as a train conductor, was fired by West Midlands Trains for gross misconduct.

“After the diversity training held in March 2021, Isherwood forgot his microphone was still on and, speaking to his wife, some colleagues heard him questioning white privilege,” reports Reclaim the Net. “He was then reported by colleagues who were “angered” by the comments.”

“I couldn’t be arsed because I thought, ‘you know what, I’ll just get fucking angry,’” Isherwood reportedly told his wife in a conversation captured on a hot mic.

“You know what I really wanted to ask?… and I wish I had, do they have black privilege in other countries? So, if you’re in Ghana?…” Isherwood added.

Unaware that his microphone was still on, Isherwood complained that the company was “indoctrinating their views” that “implied all white people are racist – but I’m not.”

Isherwood was suspended and then fired after an internal probe found that he “caused offense, brought the company into disrepute and breached our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and the Code of Conduct.”

The former train conductor took his case to an employment tribunal where he hopes to win on the grounds of unfair dismissal.

“I am completely shocked, I was at home in my own time talking to my wife, it was a private conversation. I had no idea anyone was listening to me,” said Isherwood.

“I’ve lost my job, my income, my reputation, my health is absolutely shot to pieces. I’d worked there for 11 and a half years and never had anything but promotion, praise and awards and even now I can’t believe it.”

“All I was trying to do was understand the subject better – we had been asked to think of questions so I did exactly what I was asked to do. I said Ghana because it’s something I always used to talk about with one of my colleagues, who is from Ghana and supported me,” he added.

Isherwood is now seeking compensation for his “unfair, unreasonable and unlawful” dismissal, asserting that the real reason he was fired was down to “WMT’s fear of facing allegations from colleagues about my conduct.”

Australian State Media - the one who flashed a satanic ritual

If God is neither male nor female, should we change God's pronouns?

"God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day."

At first glance, there's nothing controversial about this passage, which many will recognise as Genesis 1:5 from the Bible's Old Testament.

It is, however, the first time that the Bible refers to God as "he".

The use of exclusively masculine language to refer to God is a point of contention for many Christians, including Dr Dorothy Lee, an Anglican priest and Steward Research Professor of New Testament at Trinity College Theological School in the University of Divinity.

Dr Lee says using he/him to refer to God is an "unthinking hangover" from a past where the patriarchy was unquestioned.

While "in some cases, it might be a stubborn insistence that that’s the way the Bible speaks … no Christian could ever claim that God is male," she says.

"The Bible is quite clear … that both male and female are made in God’s image and that God transcends gender."

Searching for an alternative

Dr Lee says that her theological colleagues rarely refer to God using masculine pronouns.

Michigan Police Seize Voting Machine During Investigation Into Possible Election Breaches

Police officers in Michigan took custody of a voting machine as the state expands its investigation into what it’s described as possible unauthorized access to election equipment.

Michigan State Police and officials with Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office seized an Irving Township voting tabulator on April 29, township supervisor Jamie Knight told The Epoch Times in an email.

The seizure was done pursuant to a search warrant, she said.

“The Township intends to fully cooperate with law enforcement, and the Township attorneys have been in contact with the Michigan State Police regarding this matter. The Township has no further comment at this time,” Knight added.

An investigation was launched earlier this year at the request of Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, who said her office received reports that an unnamed third party “was allowed to access vote tabulator components and technology in Roscommon County.”

“Michigan law is clear about the security threats that emerge when anyone gains unauthorized access to our election machines or technology, and I will have no tolerance for those who seek to illegally tamper with our voting equipment,” Benson, a Democrat, said at the time.

Michigan State Police Lieutenant Derrick Carroll confirmed that the probe has expanded beyond Roscommon County.

“As we found out more information we’ve expanded our area to see if any other places were compromised,” Carroll told Reuters. “We have gone to other regions.”

The Michigan State Police did not respond to a request for comment, nor did Nessel’s office.

Carroll told news outlets that the probe will continue “until we have exhausted all leads,” adding that the possible unauthorized access “did not, in any way, affect the 2020 election.”

As part of a court case, a third party conducted a forensic audit of voting machines in Antrim County after the 2020 election and concluded the machines generated a number of errors. The conclusions were disputed by Dominion Voting Systems, which makes the machines, and Benson’s office.

The case, brought after thousands of votes originally reported as going for Joe Biden were switched to Donald Trump, was later dismissed.

Matthew DePerno, the attorney who brought the case, is the Republican nominee challenging Nessel, a Democrat, in the upcoming election.

In her announcement of the probe, Benson referenced the Antrim County situation, noting that another submission in the case included an image alleged to be from an Elections System and Software tabulator. Elections System makes the tabulators that Roscommon County uses.

Tennessee Governor Signs Bill Banning Trans Athletes From Female Collegiate Sports

Tennessee’s Republican Governor Bill Lee signed legislation on May 6 that will ban transgender athletes from competing in female sports at the college level.

The HB 2316/SB 2153 bill prevents biological male students from taking part in any intercollegiate or intramural sports that are designated for females. The educational institution must determine the sex of a student as listed in his/her original birth certificate which was issued at or near the time of birth.

“Under this bill, if an institution of higher education violates the above provision and the violation deprives a student of an athletic opportunity or causes direct or indirect harm to the student, then the student will have a private cause of action for injunctive relief, damages, and other relief, plus costs and including attorney fees,” a summary of the bill states.

The bill also bans government entities, licensing or accrediting organizations, or athletic organizations from taking any action against an educational institution that keeps separate athletic teams for female students; or retaliating against a student who reports any violation of the bill. The new legislation is expected to come into effect on July 1.

In April, Lee signed into law House Bill 1895, which pulls out funding from state schools that refuse or fail to determine a student athlete’s gender using their original birth certificate.

Last year, the Tennessee governor signed into law legislation that mandates students beyond the fourth grade to offer legal documentation which displays their birth sex in order to take part in school sports competitions. Lee said that he had signed the bill to “preserve women’s athletics and ensure fair competition.”

Women’s groups have been protesting against biological males being allowed to compete in female college sports. In February, a group of 16 members from the University of Pennsylvania women’s swimming team and their family members issued a letter to the university and Ivy League asking that they prevent transgender teammate Lia Thomas from taking part in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) events, stating that Thomas has an “unfair advantage” in the competition.

“We have trained up to 20 hours a week, swimming miles, running, and lifting weights. To be sidelined or beaten by someone competing with the strength, height, and lung capacity advantages that can only come with male puberty has been exceedingly difficult,” the letter stated.

Thomas was eventually allowed to take part in the NCAA swimming championship under the female category and emerged the winner in the 500-yard freestyle competition.
