I calmly explained to him them that we were already at the top the top of the technical food chain, so if we don't drive this change, no one will. He explained to me it was up to the executives an they already know exactly what is is going on. My attempt at an objective opinion is that they are overloaded with cognitive dissonance and are just grasping for something familiar to hold on to. You give them facts and they ramble on incoherently as if what you told them was non-sense. It is enough to make one question themselves.
