As far as proof for prior magnetic pole reversal on earth, it is frozen in geological record of plate growth formation. As molten iron in forming plate cools to below Curie temperature the direction of magnetic current is then stored in the record. As plates pushed outward by growth an alternating (abruptly so) magnetic record is stored. This is geological fact.
The video presenter may be right.
