they call them closers. you know, the ones who get it done. and in horse racing, for sure, a closer benefits greatly when the race is a mile or better, but the close Rich Strike gave was FANTASTIC! downplay the horse's performance all you want. THAT was a GREAT race.
i've watch a horse do it before. most of the time a closer will come from behind and hit 2nd or third. or win by a nose. but every once in a while you can get a beauty of race, like Rich gave. it was an exciting win. and naturally, bc Trump was there, its gotta be downplayed. right? zero fun is allowed.
