The actual problem is that you can't move posts in there. It's simply not built into 8kun.

That's in fact why 1 minute bans for spam are now in place. Not for the ban itself, that's why it's 1 minute, but because bans allow entering a reason and also archive the post for later viewing.

Direct deletions do not allow that.

Jim can't simply snip his finger and implement new features.

And you can check that by yourself, create your own board and check what is possible and what is not via mod.php.

mod.php is in fact quite broken.

The viewing is actually a bit broken atm, but ban reasons exist, as you probably know and the posts are also logged, which you probably didn't know.

You do not seem to be into software development.

When viewing doesn't work (yet), post saving may actually already work, and thus it makes sense to 1 minute ban already, so that posts are getting archived.

And in any case ban reason is entered, which is already better than "post deleted".
