Logical Thinking:
Today was a blast with Grenell going full troll mode. All the kayfabe aside, let's say Barnette now has enough noise generated to get her elected. The base proves it has a voice and a choice when they work to get someone elected they want. The fallback plan is in place, regardless. If Manchin can be controlled, then so can Oz.
I'd hate to think the public is going to be dragged through all this to not have fallback/contingencies in place to ensure success. That probably really would have some really detrimental effects on humanity.
