It's a hell of a mess. It's basically lawless, and the top "chiefs" in AZ sole their people out. Most "chiefs" did. If you've never been deep onto a Rez, and I've been into 3, you just can't imagine how it looks and FEELS. It's FUCKED.

I came across I-10 way back in the 90's. I stopped at a station right on the edge of Navajo Nation one night, and the ladies, who were native, looked scared as shit, and asked me where I Was heading. I told them, and they told me to NOT stop for 3-4 hours, no matter what, and that if people came onto the road, to avoid hitting them or run them over. Old ladies too. I was like WUT??
They said that attacks on cars happen all the time, and people will run onto the road naked, kids, and when you stop, you get jacked.
Just like the South never gave up, not really, neither have elements in native tribes. Can't blame them.
