Mike Duncan (History of Rome) has a podcast called revolutions.

Its been ongoing and covered all of history's revolutions.

Its smart, funny and easy to listen to. He is now doing the Russian Revolution. There has been 96 and there are only 4 left then the series is over. The episodes are free to listen & download.

Its great go to bed osmosis learning stuff.

The reason I am sharing is because the tactics & circumstances that the communists created & reacted to is identical to their tactics today.
