Almost two weeks ago, on March 3rd, Raniere, yeah thee Keith Raniere from NXIVM filed a motion in court saying he was set up by the FBI on the child porn. It's pretty complicated, but the short of it, is he says the FBI changed the metadata of the "little girl" naked picks to change the date to make it look like the pics were taken when the girl was a minor and not an adult. He is relying on a 20 year FBI Forensic examiner's expertise as his exonerating evidence. Here's what the former FBI agent, J. Richard Kiper said :

But in this case, I strongly believe the multiple, intentional alterations to the digital information I have discovered constitute evidence manipulation. My analysis demonstrates that some of these alterations definitely took place while the devices were in the custody of the FBI. Therefore, in the absence of any other plausible explanation it is my expert opinion that the FBI must have been involved in this evidence tampering.”

The motion is just asking to look at the child porn part of the conviction.
But if the child porn part is found to be fraudulent, then I guess there's a strong case for prosecutorial misconduct and declare every aspect of the judgment against him moot.
