Satire is funny and lampoons something. It's certainly laughable, I'll give you that. In this case though its the true believers here that are being lampooned.
Are you a gnostic railing against the thrall of the evil demi-urge? That's such a sad and hopeless philosophy. You can choose to believe as you will. I choose to believe better.
Belief is absolutely required to function normally. Without belief how can you trust that reality itself will continue moment to moment? You can't. Belief is a baseline requirement for normal function.

Outside of time, at the resurrection and judgement, the souls are gathered into "sheol" which is like an extra dimensional waiting room. This is where people who have near death experiences wind up and its where you are reunited with ancestors you knew and didn't. It is not a place of torments and is a neutral place.
