Perhaps at the tower of Babel, the language that was confused was our DNA. All those things (aka again) are caused by the fraying and destruction of our telomeres which are the distinctive structures that end cap our DNA. Confusing the language we speak won't cut our lifespans from 1000 to 100 years. But causing it so our DNA degrades will do it.
