This year, if the trend continues, more than 36,000 illegal immigrants will cross the border. This is causing and will cause significant pressure on our health, economic and social systems.

Unfortunately, the request was denied by the federal government. We know that there are sometimes more than a hundred migrants who ask for asylum through this route every day, but what do we know about the events, once the RCMP has proceeded to arrest them? This is what was discussed in this video. Many of the migrants were asked about the journey they had to go through in order to integrate into Canadian society. Is there a World Economic Forum police force and did they detain Jack Posobiec?

On Monday May 24th, American journalist and political commentator, Jack Posobiec, was detained in Davos, Switzerland at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting.

Much of the world had questions when footage of Posobiec being surrounded by police went viral. The footage was captured by Savanah Hernandez, a reporter on assignment for Rebel News.

The video had been seen millions of times when people began asking questions about the patches the police in Davos were wearing on their uniforms. The patches read “World Economic Forum Police” which lead those critical of the organization to wonder if the sinister group had their own police force.

The questions triggered a “fact-check” by establishment media organizations such as Reuters and Politifact, who were quick to label those questioning the odd patches as conspiracy theorists.

During a drive into Davos, the Rebel News team spoke to a Swiss police officer at a security checkpoint about the badges in question.

The officer explained that the WEF does not in fact have its own police force and that the badges are an accessory for certain Swiss officers during Davos week.

The arrest and viral video were evidently problematic for law enforcement in Davos.

While Hernandez was walking down the main stretch of Davos promenade, an undercover Swiss officer equipped with an earpiece and bulletproof vest called her out by name.

“Savanah, you’re famous in Switzerland,” he said.

Despite Hernandez originally and accurately referring to what happened to Posobiac as detainment, the officer accused her of lying and incorrectly reporting that Posobiac was arrested.

While his accusations were incorrect, the officer's comments point to intelligence-gathering operations or surveillance being carried out on journalists and reporters in Davos who are properly doing their jobs.

Trudeau must be used to being snubbed in international negotiations as of late. Recently, he was excluded from the AUKUS (Australia-UK-US) alliance on nuclear defence.

To save face, the prime minister claimed that Canada does not need nuclear submarines, so it isn’t interested in joining the group. However, now that Canada has been left out of yet another international pact, questions remain about why Canada is not seen as a serious partner.

“This is a deal for nuclear submarines, which Canada is not currently or anytime soon in the market for,” said Trudeau.

During a G20 meeting in 2021, Trudeau was personally snubbed by another world leader after Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro initially turned down a handshake offer from the prime minister.

Public Services and Procurement Canada put out a tender for 500,000 smallpox vaccines doses that can be used against monkeypox weeks before the first cases were reported.

A report from Public Services and Procurement Canada shows that 500,000 doses of “a third generation” smallpox vaccine called Imvamune were ordered “on behalf of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC)” on April 21, weeks before the first cases of monkeypox were reported to the World Health Organization on May 13.

“Although smallpox disease is currently considered to be eradicated, PHAC is procuring a stockpile of the vaccine to immunize Canadians against smallpox disease should a risk ever arise where smallpox is intentionally or unintentionally released,” the April 21 tender reads.

A Quebec MP has demanded to know why the Trudeau government ordered a quarter of the RCMP officers stationed in Quebec to chaperone illegal border crossers at Roxham Road rather than focus on gun trafficking.

Bloc Quebecois MP Alexis Brunelle-Duceppe put the question to Immigration and Refugee Minister Sean Fraser during a May 12 Commons immigration committee hearing.

“We have been told that a quarter of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or RCMP, officers deployed in Quebec are managing the Roxham Road instead of dealing with gun trafficking at the border,” said Brunelle-Duceppe. “Minister, when will you ensure that the safe third country agreement is suspended?”

“It’s essential, when we look at our domestic and international legal obligations, that we don’t ignore the responsibility we have to enforce those laws. I expect what you’re getting to is the engagement of the RCMP who may be involved with processing people who have crossed the border and claimed asylum.”

The Safe Third Country Agreement governs how both Canada and the US deal with cross-border asylum applications.

Technically, asylum seekers from the US are supposed to be turned away at the Canadian border because the US is deemed a “safe country.” Nonetheless, migrants have taken advantage of a loophole in the agreement that allows them to cross illegally in Canada via unauthorized crossings like Roxham Road and claim asylum at a Canadian immigration office. The Trudeau government’s infamous climate delegations were the big winners at the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF)’s 24th annual Teddy Waste Awards in Calgary on Wednesday, taking home the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award for wasting taxpayers’ money.

CTF Alberta director Kris Sims and federal director Franco Terrazzano announced the nominees and winners at a gala-themed presentation that was live streamed by the Western Standard, honouring “the best of the worst of government waste.”

Also called the Teddies, the Teddy Waste Awards – represented by golden pig trophies – are named after former federal appointee Ted Weatherill, who has gone down in history for bloated expense claims, including $150,000 in food bills over eight years.

City of Hamilton extends vaccination deadline to September 30

The tug-of-war continued in Hamilton on Wednesday between councillors who want to scrap the city’s vaccine mandate for workers and those who want the unvaccinated to be fired.

Council voted 11-3 to carry a motion by councillor Esther Pauls to extend the existing deadline to Sep. 30. The city had originally required all city workers to show proof of two Covid shots – or an approved exemption – by May 31 or face termination.

Hamilton city hall has said that nearly 94% of workers – or 7,149 people – are considered fully vaccinated, with 505 who have not disclosed their status. Of those, 441 are undergoing rapid testing, while 64 have been forced off the job without pay for noncompliance.

The extension of Hamilton’s vaccination deadline marks the latest development in a tumultuous back-and-forth between members of city council who want the unvaccinated gone and those who support a more rational position.

Hamilton originally announced its policy on Jan. 12, which allowed those who did not show proof of vaccination to continue rapid testing only until May 31. Continue…

Newfoundland drops vax mandate for provincial employees

Newfoundland and Labrador has become the latest province to rescind its Covid vaccination policy for employees, including workers in long-term care homes, fire departments and many other settings.

“Given the current epidemiology of the province, a decision has been made not to extend the policy,” read a statement by Newfoundland’s health department on Thursday.

The decision comes into effect on June 1, and will apply to those who first fell under the mandate on Dec. 17. Continue…

Admitting that the so-called “transition” would be “painful,” the elites said that nations need to put aside their national sovereignty to prioritize the “global agenda.”

German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck said countries must resist the temptation to prioritize their own interests and give way to the “rule of the markets.” He said that sustainability required everyone to make such sacrifices.

Parental rights in Alberta's education system: Group lays out case for freedom of schooling choice

The Alberta Parents' Union is a parent-driven organization that advocates for quality education for all students. They are also strong proponents for choice in education, whether that be public, homeschool or separate charter schools, and believe that parents are better equipped to determine the educational needs of their children than the government.

Despite a great deal of fear mongering from NDP politicians and the Alberta Teachers Association over the quality of education in Alberta and the need for more spending, according to Alberta Parents' Union organizer Jeff Park, Alberta is doing very well when compared to other regions even on a global scale. He believes that the freedom to choose the best type of education no only ensure that a child is getting was is best for them, but that the atmosphere of competition between schools ensures a metric of accountability that does not exist when a single option public system is the only choice.

The message of parental choice and diverse schooling options is certainly resonating with parents, but some are so threatened by the Alberta Parents' Union's ideas that they had to deal with an organized and mass reporting effort which saw them kicked off Twitter despite having broken no rules. Liberal Senator slams Bill S-7

Paula Simons, a Liberal, Trudeau-appointed Senator, has come out against Bill S-7, an amendment to the Customs Act she says would violate Canadians’ privacy rights.

“Travelers could be targeted for phone and computer searches based on their political views. It will put the privacy rights of thousands of Canadian travellers in real jeopardy,” the Liberal Senator warned.

As previously reported by The Counter Signal, Bill S-7, which recently passed its first reading in the Senate, would amend the Customs Act and give border agents the authority to digitally “examine documents, including emails, text messages, receipts, photographs or videos, that are stored on a personal digital device.”

Officers would further be able to “make an electronic copy of a record or document if it is impossible or impractical to seize anything on which the record or document is stored or if seizing the thing is likely to degrade the record or document or make it unusable as evidence.”

The grounds for doing so are merely “reasonable general concern.” Put simply, border officers would be able to search a citizen’s devices for practically any reason. Continue…

During a stop in Saskatoon yesterday, Justin Trudeau was greeted by protesters, marking the third city in a row that the widely loathed Prime Minister was denounced.

If it were any other Prime Minister, the stop would have been unremarkable or otherwise celebrated. After all, announcing $32 million in funding for long-term care homes in a country with an aging population isn’t exactly controversial.

Vaccination for monkeypox begins in Canada

Quebec has become the first province in Canada to begin vaccinating people for monkeypox, even though there are only 25 cases.

According to Quebec health director Luc Boileau, there are currently 25 cases and 20 to 30 more cases under investigation, adding he believes the spread of monkeypox represents a “serious situation” — but not as serious as COVID. All cases are in the Greater Montreal area.

He further stated that he believes Quebec can eradicate monkeypox from the province and noted the low transmissibility of the virus. Boileau also said that the government is “not in a community alert situation.”

“We aren’t expecting a rapid, huge number of cases. That’s why we think it can be eradicated,” Boileau said.

As for the vaccine being used, Boileau has opted to offer the smallpox vaccine to those who’ve come in contact with confirmed cases of monkeypox.

According to the Quebec immunization committee president, Caroline Quach, officials hope to vaccinate for monkeypox within four days of someone coming into contact with someone infected but will offer vaccines up to 14 days. She added that monkeypox is only transmitted when contact is prolonged. Continue…

In the wake of the recent school shooting in Texas, PM Justin Trudeau has promised to move forward with new gun control legislation in the coming weeks.

“My heart breaks for everyone affected by the horrific shooting in Texas today. I’m thinking of the parents, the families, the friends, the classmates, and the coworkers whose lives have been forever changed – Canadians are mourning with you, and are here for you,” wrote in a Tweet.

Similarly, Trudeau took advantage of the political opportunity that the atrocity in the US provided him while announcing a $32 million funding grant for long-term care homes in Saskatchewan during a Saskatoon visit where he was passionately protested.

“As a parent, I’m going to have to go home to my kids, including my eight-year-old, and talk to them, again, about the inexplicable school shooting that we saw in the United States,” Trudeau said.

So far, Trudeau and his justice minister have refused to confirm or deny if a “full handgun ban across the country is on the table, despite increasing pressure from some mayors and gun control advocates,” reports City News.

“We’ve been working with them and some of their concerns over the past while because we understand there is a range of opinions and views,” he said.

Trudeau also claimed that Canadians are unified in “wanting to see less gun violence.”

“That unity is what we’re going to move forward with as we take new steps in the coming weeks on gun control,” Trudeau stated. Continue…

“I think gold is pretty important for the world economy. China has enough of a grip on the world economy as it is, given its capital assets, so I would include gold.”

Justin Trudeau doesn’t agree. Away from public knowledge, our prime minister approved a sell-off of all Canadian gold reserves. Nearly all was purchased by China. Establishment media has barely blinked an eye.

According to Fadden, “the intelligence community has been increasingly worried regarding China’s investments in Canadian companies which skirt regulation.”
