Trudeau industry minister to speak at World Economic Forum in Davos

https://tnc.news/2022/05/20/trudeau-industry-minister-to-speak-at-world-economic-forum-in-davos/

Canada’s industry minister Francois-Philippe Champagne will be addressing World Economic Forum (WEF) delegates in Davos on the “jobs of tomorrow.”

According to a draft agenda for the WEF’s upcoming annual meeting in the Swiss Alps, Champagne will appear on a panel alongside Bangladesh’s education minister, Dipu Moni, and finance minister Mikael Damberg of Sweden.

“From care, education and health to green energy, infrastructure and digital, the jobs of tomorrow may emerge in several growing sectors of the global economy,” the program text says.

The panel proposes to answer how “targeted investments and policies ensure such job creation and support workers in transitioning to them.”

The meeting, which runs Monday to Thursday, marks the first in-person edition of the WEF’s flagship event since January of 2020.

Other speakers include Bill Gates, former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.

Requests for Global Affairs Canada to provide a list of members of the Canadian delegation going to Davos have gone unanswered. It’s not clear if Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, who sits on the WEF’s trustee board, will be attending. Continue…

China says it will pursue legal action against Canada over Huawei ban

https://tnc.news/2022/05/20/china-says-it-will-pursue-legal-action-against-canada-over-huawei-ban/

The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Canada issued a statement on Friday morning calling the federal government’s 5G network ban on Huawei and ZTE “political manipulation.”

A spokesperson of the embassy said the Chinese government will take “all necessary measures” to ensure Huawei’s legal rights are protected.

“The Chinese side expresses its grave concerns and strong dissatisfaction to this,” wrote the spokesperson. “I want to emphasize that the erroneous actions of the Canadian side will certainly harm Canada’s own interests and international image.”

“China will evaluate this development in a comprehensive and serious manner and take all necessary measures to protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.”

After spending years dragging their feet, the Liberal government announced yesterday that it would ban all Huawei and ZTE products and services from Canada’s 5G network, citing national security concerns. Continue…

Poilievre derangement syndrome has begun!

https://tnc.news/2022/05/20/poilievre-derangement-syndrome-has-begun/

It’s a live edition of Fake News Friday on The Candice Malcolm Show!

“Poilievre derangement syndrome” has taken hold of legacy media reporters this week, as they attempted to tie Poilievre’s support of the Freedom Convoy to the horrific Buffalo shooting. Poilievre’s rivals, Patrick Brown and Jean Charest, couldn’t help but pile on. The Brown campaign even went as far as to alert all Conservative members that a “high-profile” Poilievre supporter used “alarming language” that closely resembles the idiotic “white replacement theory.”

But it doesn’t stop there. The legacy media also attacked Poilievre over holding and publicly disclosing his cryptocurrency assets while promoting the benefits of decentralized currency during his campaign. The problem for the legacy media is that not only was it not a secret that Poilievre held crypto assets, it is entirely legal and there are actually more Liberal MPs that disclosed crypto assets than Conservatives.

Plus, the format of the Conservative Leadership Debate continues to make headlines but for all the wrong reasons. This week, a Globe and Mail columnist complained that the candidates do not consume Canadian arts and culture. Have you ever watched Canadian TV shows such as “Call My Agent!” or “Orphan Black”? Don’t fret – nobody has.

Candice and True North producer Harrison Faulkner discuss these stories and more.

Taxpayer-funded factory sends all its baby formula to China despite domestic shortage

https://tnc.news/2022/05/20/taxpayer-funded-factory-sends-all-its-baby-formula-to-china-despite-domestic-shortage/

A factory in Kingston, Ontario given $225 million in taxpayer money is sending all of the baby formula it produces to China while Canadian parents struggle to find it.

Built in 2019, the Canada Royal Milk Plant uses Canadian-based dairy – including cow and goat milk – to make baby formula.

Canada Royal Milk is owned by the Chinese company Feihe International Inc. but has received Canadian government funding to the tune of $225 million.

“Feihe International is the largest domestic producer of formula for infants and young children in the People’s Republic of China, and the company recently celebrated its 56th year in business, the plant’s website states.

“Canada Royal Milk will manufacture formula for infants and young children using both cow dairy and goat dairy, building local supply chains to benefit the Canadian economy. Most of our production will be for export, but we intend to develop nutritional products for the North American market as well.” Continue…

Healthcare professionals urge government to “hire back our heroes”

https://tnc.news/2022/05/21/healthcare-professionals-urge-government-to-hire-back-our-heroes/

A new campaign by a group of British Columbia healthcare professionals is urging the government to start fixing the province’s broken healthcare system by hiring back the heroes it praised so highly in the early days of the pandemic.

“Our healthcare system in B.C. is crumbling,” said BC Healthcare Workers United (BCHWU) spokesperson Laura Milaire. “Wait times are getting longer and longer, clinic after clinic is closing, and 900,000 B.C. residents are currently without a family doctor. Yet our government officials will not bend.”

“We have perfectly healthy, naturally immune, experienced, talented and passionate healthcare workers, wasting their talent doing unrelated jobs just to make ends meet.”

BCHWU is a grassroots organization representing B.C.’s 18 regulated private-sector healthcare professionals, all of whom fell under provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry’s latest vaccine mandate in March. They include dentists, doctors, nurses, midwives, chiropractors, psychologists and many others. The group is also affiliated with several others including BC Nurses Fight Mandates and the BCPS Employees for Freedom.

The organization has produced a new video that includes testimonials from three of the approximately 2,582 employees in public healthcare settings that have been fired over vaccine mandates. These firings include 927 employees from the Interior Health region, 474 from Fraser Health, 393 from Island Health and 304 from Northern Health.

To address crippling staffing shortages, the B.C. government recently announced it would spend $12 million to fast-track the registration and licensing process for foreign-trained nurses. This funding includes $9 million in bursaries to help around 1600 foreign-trained nurses with the costs of assessment fees. Continue…

CRA spending questioned after millions in subsidies given to insolvent companies

https://tnc.news/2022/05/21/cra-spending-questioned-after-millions-in-subsidies-given-to-insolvent-companies/

The Canada Revenue Agency gave millions in taxpayer funding in the form of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) to hundreds of companies that owed the government taxes and eventually went bankrupt.

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, an Inquiry of Ministry requested by Conservative MP Anna Roberts shows that 750 firms that became insolvent received $145.9 million in emergency funds.

“(Of those companies) 352 owed back taxes to the Canada Revenue Agency when they were sent the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy payments,” government staffers wrote.

“What are the names of the companies that owed back taxes?” the inquiry asked.

“As the protection of taxpayer information is of utmost importance the confidentiality provisions of the Acts administered by the Revenue Agency prevent the disclosure of taxpayer information,” replied Revenue Minister Dianne Lebouthilier.

The subsidy was introduced by the Liberal government in 2020. At first, CEWS paid a 10% subsidy to small businesses before it grew to a 75% grant for public companies.

Concerns have also been raised about the CRA’s own fiscal responsibility during the course of the pandemic.

During the pandemic, CRA employees received a 10% raise. At the time Canadians suffered from a 10.9% unemployment rate which was preceded by a record unemployment rate of 13.7%. Small businesses were also being shuttered by lockdowns.

CRA employees received other perks as well, including increased maternity leave qualifications up to 78 weeks, more overtime meal allowances and a single payment of $400.

According to the Parliamentary Budget Office, all federal employees received a total of $1.3 billion in payouts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Treasury Board was unable to provide actual personnel expenditures,” wrote the PBO.

“Leave was likely under-reported by many organizations. Indeed, in each subsequent data update provided by the Treasury Board there was an increase in the number of hours previously reported.”

CRAZY VIDEO: Davos BEFORE the cameras arrive

https://www.rebelnews.com/davos_before_the_cameras_arrive

Have you heard of the World Economic Forum? It's a secret club where the world's wealthiest oligarchs meet with globalist politicians to develop schemes to tell the rest of us how to live.

People like Bill Gates. Xi Jinping. Justin Trudeau. And Anthony Fauci.

The WEF's founder, Klaus Schwab, resembles a cartoonish supervillain from a James Bond movie.

But he's real. And he has big plans for you. Including the ominous slogan, "you'll own nothing, and you'll be happy".

That's why I flew all the way to Switzerland, along with a team of investigative journalists, to report on just what these billionaires are up to. Continue…

Global oligarchs continue their agenda of creating legally binding international law amendments

https://www.rebelnews.com/global_oligarchs_continue_their_agenda_of_creating_legally_binding_international_law_amendments

Proposed amendments could have devastating consequences for the health sovereignty of all Canadians.

In a previous report, I featured Dr. Mark Trozzi to discuss an initiative that he refers to as “a backdoor to global governance.” It’s the World Health Organization’s “Pandemic Treaty” that is meant to “kickstart a global process to draft and negotiate a convention, agreement or other international instrument under the Constitution of the World Health Organization to strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.”

However, the United Nations Foundation is hard at work on a bigger agenda. They are the self-described “decision-making body of the World Health Organization” and are making proposed amendments to previously established International Health Regulations (IHR).

These proposed amendments are supposed to be discussed at World Health Assembly, an event that takes place annually, happening from May 22-28 in Geneva, Switzerland. It takes place at the same time that the World Economic Forum hosts its Davos gathering a few hours drive away.

The IHR are an “instrument of international law that is legally-binding on 196 countries, including the 194 WHO Member States,” which includes Canada.

The concern is that amendments could have devastating, legally binding consequences for the health sovereignty of all Canadians. Continue…

Amalega François speaks out after nearly four months in jail

https://www.rebelnews.com/interview_quebec_freedom_activist_amalega_francois_speaks_out_after_nearly_four_months_in_jail

He was finally released after having spent nearly four months in jail. Here is what he had to say about his legal journey.

Amalega François is a math teacher in the Montreal area. Of Cameroonian origin, Mr. François has always been of the quiet and orderly kind.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began in Canada in March of 2020, Mr. François recognized that the extreme health measures imposed by the government violated the rights and freedoms of Canadian citizens.

From that moment, he started taking to the streets to fight against this oppression with hopes of raising others' awareness about the situation.

Mr. François received many fines related to the health measures over the last two years. In January 2022, during a conference in Shawinigan, where Premier François Legault was to speak about economic recovery, Mr. François wanted to question the premier on the concerns the people had regarding vaccine passports, which led to his arrest that day, as well as his imprisonment at the Bordeaux Prison a few months later.

He was finally released after having spent nearly four months in jail. Here is what he had to say about his legal journey.

Trudeau Liberals still spending money on media training

https://www.rebelnews.com/trudeau_liberals_still_spending_money_on_media_training

Is anyone surprised there are close working relationships between the Liberals and Canada's state broadcaster?

After a controversial contract was paid to a CBC pundit earlier this year, the Trudeau Liberals continue to blow money on media training.

New order paper documents show that Liberal cabinet minister Omar Alghabra, the minister of transport, spent $3,390 to receive training from Ferrabee International Inc. (A non-distributing corporation company). Alghabra has served as a member of Parliament first from 2006-2008, and from 2015-present.

Previously, Amanda Alvaro, a liberal panellist on CBC’s Power and Politics, and owner of a communications company called Pomp and Circumstance, came under fire for an undisclosed conflict of interest.

During the pandemic, Alvaro's business received a payment of $16,950 from Mary Ng, the international trade minister, and Eleanore Catenaro, Ng's director of communications, as can be seen in the attached documents below.

As it turns out, this payment was not disclosed by Power and Politics which prompted complaints from the public to CBC's ombudsman. One such complaint read: Continue…

Introducing The Reset: The Great Reset Docuseries

https://www.rebelnews.com/introducing_the_reset_the_great_reset_docuseries

Since the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, a highly-influential organization known as the World Economic Forum has been under scrutiny for using the global crisis as a means of advancing their own agenda.

Chaired by its founder Klaus Schwab, the WEF aims to influence governments across the world to implement its vision and shape policies to comply with the organization's agenda.

In this docuseries, we will be exploring the book The Great Reset, co-authored by Schwab and published in June 2020, just a few months after COVID-19 began shaping our world, along with those collaborating with the WEF to push its globalist agenda.

Our hope is to show the viewer that this reset, “unique window of opportunity” as the WEF's website states, is not a conspiracy theory — it's a fact.

WHO holds emergency meeting over monkeypox

https://thecountersignal.com/who-emergency-monkeypox-meeting/

Just two days before the World Health Assembly meets to decide whether to sign away Member States’ health sovereignty, the WHO announced they must hold an emergency meeting over a spontaneous global monkeypox outbreak that has infected less than 100 people.

According to the Telegraph, which was first alerted to the WHO’s emergency meeting and is literally funded by Bill Gates, “The World Health Organization (WHO) is also convening a group of leading experts in an emergency meeting to discuss the ongoing outbreak, The Telegraph understands.”

“It is believed the main topics of conversation will be around how the virus is being spread, the unusually high prevalence in gay and bisexual men, and also the vaccination situation.”

According to the WHO’s website, the recent case of monkeypox in the UK (from May 7) was confirmed by the WHO only one week ago, on May 13.

Since then, monkeypox, which is known to have extremely low transmissibility for humans, has miraculously managed to make its way to several European countries, the US, Australia, and Canada. This is despite the virus existing since the 1970s and almost never leaving the African continent — until now.

Curiously, researchers at Johns Hopkins University (also funded by Bill Gates) claim that while the virus is usually only spread by physical contact with someone exhibiting symptoms, monkeypox can supposedly be spread by droplets in the air. So, it looks like governments worldwide have a new reason to enforce mask mandates just months after removing them.

While public health officials are urging people not to panic — much like with the mostly non-threatening Omicron variant — that is precisely what governments are doing.

The Ontario government is now working with the federal government to increase surveillance of monkeypox after two cases were reported in Montreal. Continue…
