It gives me solace that we serve a righteous God, a God of righteous anger and wrath who hates it as much as I do.
The new age loves to paint God as ONLY love and I know they don't quite understand why this would not be a good thing.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. It is a reverent fear, being so in awe of our Creator that you are compelled to do what is right.
After I read Isaiah, I like to finish off with one of Paul's letters to also remind myself we serve a God of everlasting love, grace and mercy.
