In April, The New York Times investigative reporters Jonathan Martin and Alex Burns released passages from their latest book “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future.”

In the book, the two claimed that GOP House Leader Kevin McCarthy told Liz Cheney on a January 10, 2021 call that he would counsel Trump to resign before the end of his term.

When the claims within the book broke early in the news, McCarthy’s spokesman Mark Bednar refuted them saying, “McCarthy never said he’d call Trump to say he should resign.

McCarthy himself called the claims about his conversations “totally false” when The New York Times reported on them earlier in the day.

Kevin McCarthy released a statement on Twitter following the NY Times report. He insisted the claims were false.

Then within hours, Rachel Maddow leaked the private phone call on her show on Thursday night of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy with Trump-hating lunatic Liz Cheney on January 10, 2021.

During the call, McCarthy told Liz Cheney that he would counsel President Trump Trump to resign. This is exactly what the book reported. Liz Cheney released the call to the authors. And now Kevin McCarthy was caught in a lie.

This was not a surprise to those who follow Kevin McCarthy closely. He is a weak RINO who was also caught on audio pushing the Tech Giants to censor and shut down conservative voices online.

On Sunday Rep. Jim Jordan told Maria Bartiromo he will support Kevin McCarthy as Speaker if Republicans takeover the House in 2023.

What a disappointment.

Court Rules California's Gun Sale Ban For Those Under 21 Is Unconstitutional

In a 2–1 decision (pdf), a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the state’s law violates the Second Amendment rights.

The Second Amendment reads, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

“America would not exist without the heroism of the young adults who fought and died in our revolutionary army,” U.S. Circuit Judge Ryan Nelson, an appointee of President Donald Trump, wrote for the San Francisco-based appeals court. “Today we reaffirm that our Constitution still protects the right that enabled their sacrifice: the right of young adults to keep and bear arms.”

A summary of the court ruling reads, in part: “The panel held that California’s ban was a severe burden on the core Second Amendment right of self defense in the home.” It also says that historical record showed that the Second Amendment “protects the right of young adults to keep and bear arms, which includes the right to purchase them.”

The decision by Nelson and U.S. Circuit Judge Kenneth Lee, also a Trump appointee, reverses a ruling by San Diego-based U.S. District Judge M. James Lorenz, an appointee of President Bill Clinton, who in November 2020 (pdf) declined to block the law’s enforcement.

“[T]he district court erred by holding that the California laws did not burden Second Amendment rights,” Nelson wrote in the opinion on Wednesday.

The office of California Attorney General Rob Bonta, a Democrat, said it is reviewing the court’s decision. In a statement, a spokesperson said it was committed to “defending California’s commonsense gun laws.”

The California law, California Penal Code 27510(a), took effect in July 2021, banning the sale of long guns and semiautomatic centerfire rifles to anyone under the age of 21. Law enforcement officers and active-duty military service members would be exempt from the ban. But those with hunting licenses would not be exempt.

Plaintiffs who brought the case challenging the law had argued the measure infringes on the Second Amendment rights of adults aged 18–20.

“We are delighted that the Ninth Circuit has vindicated the rights of 18- to 20-year-old adults to keep and bear arms,” Haley Proctor, a lawyer for the plaintiffs, told the San Francisco Chronicle on Wednesday after the ruling.

‘Ukraine can win this war,’ NATO says

Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that Russian military operation in Ukraine is not going the way it was planned

Ukraine can score a victory in its fight against Russian forces, as the situation on the battleground is not developing according to Moscow’s plans, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg claimed on Sunday.

Speaking to the reporters after the informal meetings of the military bloc’s foreign ministers, Stoltenberg revealed that the main topics of the discussions were “strong support for Ukraine, the further strengthening of NATO’s deterrence and defense, and the longer-term implications of the war,” including the alliance’s future stance towards Russia.

“Russia’s war in Ukraine is not going as Moscow had planned. They failed to take Kiev. They are pulling back from around Kharkiv, their major offensive in the Donbass has stalled. Russia is not achieving its strategic objectives,” Stoltenberg said.

He added that, contrary to the alleged wishes of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine continues its fight, “NATO is stronger than ever” and the US and Europe are “solidly united.”

Sweden approves NATO membership bid

The country’s ruling party has followed the example of neighboring Finland

Sweden’s ruling Social Democratic Party has announced its support for the country’s NATO membership bid, following a similar move by the Finnish government.

In a statement published on Sunday, the Social Democrats pledged “to work for Sweden to apply for membership in NATO.” However, the party leadership stressed that if the application were successful, Sweden would stand “against the deployment of nuclear weapons and permanent bases on Swedish territory.”

Finland and Sweden decided to reconsider their long-standing policy of non-alignment following a major change in public opinion after the launch of Russia’s attack on Ukraine. According to recent polls, a majority in both countries now support membership of NATO. Moscow has warned Helsinki and Stockholm against joining the alliance and promised an appropriate response should they make such a move.

Turkey had earlier expressed its objections to Finland and Sweden’s NATO bids, with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan calling the two Nordic countries “guesthouses for terrorist organizations.” He was referring to the separatist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the Revolutionary People’s Liberation Front (DHKP/C), which have been outlawed in Turkey.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana, however, said he is sure the alliance would be able to overcome Turkey’s reservations.

In early April, the head of the military bloc, Jens Stoltenberg, said NATO “will warmly welcome” Finland and Sweden if they apply to join, and is prepared to make a decision on membership “quite quickly.”

‘Tens of Thousands’ of Native Children Discovered in 50 Mass Grave Sites at Gov’t-Run Schools

It is no secret that the United States of America has a deeply dark and disturbing history in regard to how Native Americans were treated in this country. After wiping out large portions of the indigenous populations with European diseases, the federal government took to forcibly assimilating the remaining population in government institutions.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, hundreds of federal schools were set up across the country in which Native children were taken from their families and tribes to be re-educated into the American way of life. Within these facilities, tens of thousands of children were both physically and sexually abused as “teachers” forced them to talk, dress and act “American.”

In these boarding schools, children were prohibited from speaking their Native American language and forced to assimilate into society. The abuse they suffered at the hands of staff was often times fatal and many of these schools began digging mass grave sites as a result.

A new study conducted by the interior department has given us glimpse into the deeply disturbing nature of these schools. The study found more than 50 burial sites, in which they suspect tens of thousands of native children have been buried — and, they expect that number to grow.

The study is far from complete, but some of the findings are being released as they focus on trying to identify the children and their tribal affiliations.

“The consequences of federal Indian boarding school policies – including the intergenerational trauma caused by the family separation and cultural eradication inflicted upon generations of children as young as four years old – are heartbreaking and undeniable,” Deb Haaland, the interior secretary, said in a statement.

The study uncovered the fact that hundreds of schools, ran and funded by the federal government, operated in 37 states, with many of them in Oklahoma, Arizona and New Mexico.

The US government ran several hundred of these schools while it provided funding to Catholic, Protestant and other churches who ran their own schools to “civilize” Native Americans.

“It is my priority to not only give voice to the survivors and descendants of federal Indian boarding school policies, but also to address the lasting legacies of these policies so Indigenous Peoples can continue to grow and heal,” Haaland said.

Haaland, who is Laguna, said they have found 53 mass graves of children who died or were killed in the government facilities. The number of children buried in these graves sites could total in the “tens of thousands,” according to the study.

“Many of those children were buried in unmarked or poorly maintained burial sites far from their Indian Tribes, Alaska Native Villages, the Native Hawaiian Community, and families, often hundreds, or even thousands, of miles away,” the report said.

It was nothing short of genocide and it happened in this country, sponsored by and carried out by this government.

Disgraced Cop Gets Just 2 Years for Molesting Fiancé’s 10yo Daughter and Filming It

Columbus, OH — Another police officer has been arrested for child porn and has been given a sweetheart plea deal. While this happens so often that it is depressingly not surprising, this time, it was the cop’s own soon-to-be 10-year-old step daughter who was the victim.

Columbus police officer Raymond Rose, 31, was arrested in 2020 by an officer with the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children task force after being accused of filming a young child in a “state of nudity,” according to Franklin County Municipal Court records.

In January, Rose took a plea deal and pleaded guilty to a single charge of of gross sexual imposition for inappropriately touching the 10-year-old girl whom he also videotaped naked.

The charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and pandering sexual oriented material involving a minor — both felonies carrying steep sentences — were dropped. Thanks to the plea deal, this week, he was sentenced to just two years in prison.

In October 2020, family members of the reported victim contacted the police department’s Internal Affairs Bureau with the allegations.

Assistant Franklin County Prosecutor Sayje Brown told the judge that the child’s mother found the video on Rose’s phone.

The IAB then contacted the department’s Special Victims Bureau. Due to the nature of the allegations, the Special Victims Bureau brought in the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children unit.

According to police, Rose went into his soon-to-be step daughter’s bedroom and filmed the private areas of a 10-year-old girl on July 20 inside a private residence. When police investigated Rose’s phone, they reportedly found the video on it.

The pandering obscenity charge allegedly stems from the accusation that Rose also made the little girl watch pornography on top of making her strip naked so he could film her.

After his arrest in October — despite investigators finding the videos on his phone — Rose was allowed to stay on the department’s payroll for the next 6 months, resigning in “bad faith” in April of 2021.

“When criminal activity is discovered, our duty is to investigate and pursue the appropriate action based on the evidence. The fact that it involves one of our own does not change that,” said Columbus police chief Thomas Quinlan. “The protection of children demands the highest level of priority and investigation. Regardless of who the accused is, we support every effort to ensure justice is done.”

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien pointed out that Rose was arrested despite his status as a law enforcement officer as if applying equal justice under the law is something unusual and should be praised.

“I think it shows that no one is above the law,” O’Brien said. “If a police officer commits a crime, they will be prosecuted. They will be investigated the same as any other citizen.”

He then went on to issue a warning to the public about the prevalence of such abuse, noting that it can and will often come from relatives and friends.

“Parents need to be watchful even amongst relatives, even amongst neighbors,” said O’Brien.

On top of his two year sentence, Rose must also register as a sex offender every six months for the next 25 years.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams states his support for abortion up until the moment of birth

Eric Adams, the recently elected Mayor of New York City, condemned the pro-life movement as “radical” on Saturday as he pledged that he would “fight” to ensure that there are “no” limitations on abortion.

Fox News reported that the mayor attended a pro-abortion protest in New York City on Saturday and said that he doesn’t believe there should be any limitations on abortion.

When asked at the “Bans Off Our Bodies” demonstration in New York City whether he thinks there should be any limitations on abortion, Adams said “No, I do not.”

Using the hashtag “BansOffOurBodies,” Adams tweeted, “Abortion is health care. It’s that simple. And New York City won’t let a group of radical extremists take away health care or any human right without a fight.”

When pressed about supporting abortions up until the day of birth, Adams said, “I think women should have the right to choose [for] their bodies. Men should not have that right to choose how a woman should treat their body.”

On Saturday, pro-abortion “Bans Off Our Bodies” protests were held across the country. They came in response to a leaked draft of a majority opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court indicating that the Supreme Court was likely positioned to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The pro-abortion protests were organized by Planned Parenthood, Women’s March, and other organizations that prioritize access to abortion. Organizers of the protests said that these demonstrations mark the start of a potential “summer of rage” if the Supreme Court moves forward with repealing Roe.

There were more than 400 pro-abortion demonstrations on Saturday.

Despite this massive turn out, a recently conducted CNN poll indicates that a potential overturn of Roe will likely galvanize Republicans to come out and vote in the upcoming midterm elections more than it will Democrats.

The results of the poll came after the May 2 leak of the draft Supreme Court opinion and they indicated that enthusiasm for voting is lower among Democrats than it is among Republicans.

56% of Republican respondents said they were “extremely/very enthusiastic” about the upcoming election cycle while only 43% of Democrats said they felt similarly.

The Democratic Party and nonprofit groups affiliated with the party were able to raise millions of dollars shortly after the draft opinion leaked. This enthusiasm for donating to left-wing causes and the widespread pro-abortion protests suggested that Democrats had new waves of enthusiasm motivating their base to turn out, but, as CNN’s poll shows, this is not the case.

Fairfax County Plans Co-Ed Sex Classes Backed by Trans Lobby for 4th Graders

The president of the Transgender Education Association spoke in support of the issue, and mocked parents opposed to the board's plans

In Virginia, Fairfax County’s School Board is planning to begin teaching co-ed sex education classes for kids as young as 4th grade, under the name of “Family Life Education.” At a recent Fairfax County School Board meeting where the issue was discussed, a man who identifies as a woman and sits on the district’s LGBT pride board spoke in support of the idea, ridiculing parents opposed to the co-ed sex classes for children.

The topic of co-ed sex classes came up at a recent meeting of the Fairfax County School Board after an advisory committee approved the district’s plan to begin teaching sex-ed to mixed groups of boys and girls beginning as young as the fourth grade. While the plans will have to be voted on by the Democrat-dominated school board to become final, they are expected to be approved, and Fairfax County students will be expected to attend the classes from grades four through eight.

During a public comment session, the board was addressed by Willow Woycke, a biological man who identifies as a woman, in support of their plans for co-ed sex classes. Woycke has been at the forefront of pushing sexually-charged material and policy on to children through schooling and is president of the Transgender Education Association. Woycke is also a board member of FCPS Pride, a pro-LGBT group within Fairfax County Public Schools. His “transition” to womanhood has even been publicly profiled by his employer, Mitre Corp, a private non-profit deeply tied to the federal government.

After rattling off a list of preferred pronouns, Woycke came out in staunch support of the plan, claiming that the co-ed sex classes will not only “help trans students,” but help other kids learn about the body of their “future spouse.”

“I normally come to speak to you on making schools safer for trans, non-binary, and gender diverse students. Tonight, I will be talking to you about teaching FLE to mixed gender groups,” Woycke told the board. “While this will help trans students, it will also help cisgender and heterosexual students when they get older. Knowledge of your spouse’s body and how it functions is important,” Woycke said, before admitting moments later that he wants kids to learn “how sex happens.”

“The main criticism is that it makes students uncomfortable,” Woycke said of the board’s plans before ridiculing parents opposed to co-ed sex classes as being “afraid.”

“We have to ask ourselves, ‘why are students uncomfortable learning about their bodies?’ People who are afraid of FLE have the option to opt their children out. People who are afraid of FLE will always criticize what’s taught. No matter what is taught in FLE or how it’s taught, there are people who will object and will claim that the schools are teaching sex to children. Sexual health is not about the act of sex. It is about staying healthy and keeping yourself and those you love healthy.”

Ukraine foreign minister says ‘aid is on the way’ after meeting with Blinken

Ukraine’s foreign minister said “more weapons and other aid is on the way” on Sunday after meeting with Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

“We agreed to work closely together to ensure that Ukrainian food exports reach consumers in Africa and Asia. Grateful to Secretary Blinken and the US for their leadership and unwavering support,” ​Dmytro ​Kuleba posted on Twitter​, linking to a photo of him and the US’ top diplomat​.

​State Department spokesman Ned Price said the two discussed the Feb. 24 Russian invasion of Ukraine and ​Blinken “conveyed details regarding the latest tranche of US security assistance to bolster Ukraine’s defenses.”​

The meeting comes as a $40 billion humanitarian and military aid package has been held up in the Senate by Sen. Rand Paul.

The Kentucky Republican has insisted that a special inspector general be named to oversee the distribution of the funds, which have already been approved by the House.

The senator said he sympathizes with Ukraine over their fight against Russian President Vladimir Putin but said the US “cannot continue to spend money we don’t have.”

​Amid the stalemate, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and three other Republicans made a surprise visit Saturday to Kyiv to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky. ​

An aide to Zelensky said the visit by McConnell and Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, John Cornyn of Texas and John Barrasso of Wyoming suggested an end to the impasse.

“A decision on $40 billion is expected next week,” Andrij Sybiha wrote on Facebook. “Today, our state has the strong bipartisan and bicameral support of American friends. And the American people.”​

It Only Took About 180 Minutes For Democrats To Try To Capitalize On The Buffalo Shooting

Shortly over three hours after police were alerted to a mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, on Saturday, Democratic politicians took to Twitter to call for gun control legislation.

“Two mass shootings in 24 hours, in Milwaukee and Buffalo — the latter killing ten people. I’m heartbroken. And I’m angry. Angry that the GOP continues to block even the most basic gun safety measures. We can stop this. We can save lives. Republicans just refuse to. Cowards.” said Democratic Representative Adam Schiff of California in a Twitter post.

The alleged shooter, later identified in court as 18-year-old Payton S. Gendron, reportedly traveled several hours from Conklin, New York to Buffalo where authorities said the gunman exited his vehicle with a firearm and shot four people in the parking lot, three of them were fatally wounded, the New York Times reported. A retired Buffalo police officer who was working as a security guard at the store was fatally shot by Gendron who continued firing upon customers and employees inside the store, the outlet noted.

Canadian Security Service Warns Against ‘Extreme Anti-Government Rhetoric’

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has warned Canadian Members of Parliament (MPs) of rising levels of “anti-government” and “anti-authority” sentiment since the onset of the Wuhan virus pandemic.

CSIS stated that there has been a rise in ideologically-motivated violent extremism, or IMVE, over the last two years of the coronavirus pandemic, claiming that there has also been an increase in threats toward politicians and other public servants.

“Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, IMVE activity has been fuelled by an increase in extreme anti-authority and anti-government rhetoric, often rooted in the weaponization of conspiracy theories,” CSIS assistant director Cherie Henderson told MPs, CBC reports.

“CSIS has noted a marked increase in violent threats addressed at elected officials and public servants,” Henderson added and claimed CSIS was working to do more to monitor extremism.

Deputy Commander of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Michael Duheme stated that mounties have also noticed an uptick in IMVE, but claimed incidents were not coordinated vt groups but rather motivated by personal and “very individualized ideologies.”

Leslie Soper, director-general of national security policy for the Department of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, claimed that extremists came from a variety of backgrounds saying.

“It may be aligned to what we might traditionally call right-wing extremism. It may be motivated by other factors; anti-mandate. It could be motivated by other societal factors,” Soper said.

When Soper and CSIS officials were pressed on the issue of mass attacks against churches across Canada that saw many burned to the ground last summer by Conservative MP Dane Lloyd, however, they dismissed the violent campaign as a police matter.

At least 68 churches across Canada had been either torched or vandalised as of August of last year.

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that the church attacks were “unacceptable” — but also claimed that the anger fuelling the attacks was “fully understandable.”

“One of my reflections is I understand the anger that’s out there against the federal government, against institutions like the Catholic church; it is real and it is fully understandable given the shameful history that we are all becoming more and more aware of, and engaging ourselves to do better as Canadians,” Trudeau said.
