We always have enemies behind the gates. I think it doesn't take into consideration the American ability to fuck up a threat without a second thought. That's why they have to plan mass shootings and control the entire venue to pull one off. When they don't, shooter doesn't get far.
I think their post-apocalyptical Hollywood push wants us to think we'll all be fighting over cans of peaches five years later without the government up and running. The government aka Hollywood doesn't yet understand that no one needed them the first time we built this country from no electricity to where it is today.
