Because we all know it's normal for Kathy Barnette to join the US Army and be washed out after 4 months, because that's how the US Army rolls - they train someone to be a human resources specialist so they can become a heavy wheeled equipment mechanic in the US Army Reserve.
The way to get out of a hole is to stop digging. Kathy Barnette was not able to complete her active duty military service and she now needs to explain why.
