Consider that now pressure is on SEC to look into Twitter filings or reveal their own corruption via inaction.

They could play "we are closely monitoring the situation" or "we are opening a review/investigation of Twitter's Filings" to stall for time but patience of Stockholders means that's short.

 

That tiny tweet exchange just put a spotlight on the SEC and likely FTC as well. If Twitter got to get away with stuff, what other companies did as the "regulators" looked the other way?
