Firefighters contain vegetation fire in Durham
DURHAM, Calif. -
Firefighters have contained a nearly two-acre vegetation fire in Durham, according to CAL FIRE Butte County. At 1 p.m., firefighters were able to stop the forward progress of the fire.
Firefighters say the fire was near Stanford Lane and was burning in grass at a slow rate of spread.
Crews will remain at the scene for a couple of hours to mop up.
CAL FIRE tweeted about the fire at 12:45 p.m. Monday.
Crews are calling the fire the Stanford Fire.
