Keep your eyes on Planning & Zoning Departments (county / municipality). They zone shit to make your life misery under the guise of 'equity'
"afforgable housing" – 20% of a community fo' po' folk. subsidized by the not po' folk in said community / housing complex.
"opportunity housing" – specifically designed to favor urban poor to get them in your school district. mix your top performing white school with 20% blecks. allegedly enough to "bring them up" but not impact whitey….unless of course, youre the kid that gets picked on bullied etc.
in general, any HUD (Dept of Housing & Urban Development) program. Show up at your commission meeting and scream as loud as you can….with reason. Racist remarks will get you booted. Use logic and reason to dissuade ppassing these agenda items. Be wary of the "Consent Agenda" where they sneak shit in that they know you don't want and that the other commissioners will pass.
Finally, be wary of commercial zoning as how it will effect guns. Ostensibly, in many cities, gun stores and ranges are "Zoned" out of existence. Example, City of West Palm Beach has only 1 gun store. There is another a few miles down the road, but that is because it isn't within the City …it is in the unincorporated part of the County. They do this by citing, "oh a gun range should be no closer than 1,000 ft to the nearest residential property" Now your swanky condo development in the 'cool industrial area' has just boinked a gun range that could have filled an empty warehouse. If you're lucky, the guy that is already there is grandfathered in…but don't think for a moment they'll let him back if there is a problem wiht his lease and he has to switch buildings.
