I like to argue myself into believing something just to turn around and break down the thought process of said belief to see how it holds up. Call me crazy, but anon is open to having their mind changed as long as logic (or at least my best perceivable version of logic) is sound. Anon admits they are often wrong about things.
But you point out something that is very true. Some of the most intelligent people I've met hit a few areas of belief (religion is the biggest by far) that they are unwilling to budge on for "reasons". Not saying that there's anything wrong with that (you do you, I'll do me). I am saying that way of thinking causes mental stagnation in other areas of thought, and that's usually were interesting conversations meet a dead end. I think that the religion pill is the most difficult to swallow for most.
