Reports of a high flying aircraft (?) traveling roughtly NW to SE at approx 17:12 UTC. Location approx 44N 117W.

No navigation lights showing. Long string of over a dozen white lights, possibly a mile or miles long being towed in a straight line astern. Ideas?
