No such thing. Audio engineer here (25+ years). HPF, LPF, and Band Pass are the standard filters.

 

There's a frequency that it can be set at but it is in no way a CUTOFF. There is a slope involved which decreases the frequencies below that point at x db per octave.

The original poster posted a parametric eq pic, so that's what I was referring to. Q in that case is the band width of a bell filter on an eq band.

 

The filters are overlaid, but there's a separate set of controls for the high-pass and low-pass filters.

Exactly. That is the key to a clean mix too. Filter off the stuff that's not needed on each source signal. I mix FOH live and in many cases all you need are the proper filters set, and very little to no eq.
