SCIOTO COUNTY, OH: "The Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland says all water sample tests from Camp Molly Lauman in Lucasville, Ohio have come back negative, showing no signs of contamination. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency collected samples of water sources throughout the camp after more than 100 of the 155 Camporee attendees reported symptoms of illness. Results for the tap and drinking water came back negative yesterday, May 18, also showing no signs of contamination. Health officials are still working to determine the cause of the illness, but the Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland and the Scioto County Health Department say, according to Regional Epidemiologist Molly Dargavell, the suspected cause of the illness is believed to be Norovirus. Health officials say health care providers are running testing to find common symptoms among patients."
