US buys millions of Monkeypox vaccines after Massachusetts confirms case

The Us has ordered 13 million additional doses of the monkeypox vaccine after a Massachusetts man contracted the rare — but potentially severe — virus, officials said Thursday.

The massive $119 million order of Jynneos jabs — which can be used to treat both the monkeypox virus and smallpox — was created by the biotechnology company Bavarian Nordic, according to Newsweek.

In 2015, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration approved the use Jynneos as a vaccine for the rare virus.

Monkeypox was first discovered in 1958 among a group of monkeys that were kept for research, but the first human case was recorded in 1970.

Symptoms include fever, headache, body aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, exhaustion and, in some cases, rashes.

Within recent years, there have been several flare ups of the disease, several of them in the UK. Two cases were reported in the US in 2021.

On Wednesday, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health confirmed that man who had been to Canada had contracted the virus and was hospitalized in good condition. The agency said there was “no risk to the public.”

“DPH is working closely with the CDC, relevant local boards of health, and the patient’s health care providers to identify individuals who may have been in contact with the patient while he was infectious,” the agency said in a statement.

Other countries have seen a larger outbreak of the virus. This month alone, the UK Health Security Agency reported that nine cases of the virus had been detected, primarily among men.

As of Thursday, there has been no direct travel links established with a country where monkepox is endemic, meaning it could have spread locally.

Bavarian Nordic has worked with the US since it’s first monkeypox outbreak in 2003, supplying nearly 30 million doses Jynneos.

Oklahoma House Majority Leader Rep. Josh West told a source that his neighbor got robbed at gunpoint by a Russian connected to the grow farms. Insiders describe how the Chinese-financed gangsters now have a “security apparatus” in Oklahoma with armed goons patrolling Sooner State land, working for the “cartel.” As the ChiComs monopolize the medical marijuana trade they put smaller homegrown pot farms out of business and also drive up water demand for native Oklahomans. For national security and health reasons, a hostile foreign country should not be controlling any fraction of the American supply of legal marijuana, and yet the ChiComs are now trying to dominate both the legal and illegal weed game.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson told NBC News that President Donald Trump suggested in a meeting that she should be arrested and executed for treason after the 2020 election.

Benson, the state’s chief election official, said she heard about the comments from “a source familiar with Trump’s White House meeting,” per NBC News. It is unclear when or in what context Trump made the alleged comment.

“It was surreal and I felt sad,” Benson told NBC News.

“It certainly amplified the heightened sense of anxiety, stress and uncertainty of that time — which I still feel in many ways — because it showed there was no bottom to how far he and his supporters were willing to stoop to overturn or discredit a legitimate election,” she added of Trump.

The case of Augusto Roux in Argentina suggests that in at least one instance, a trial participant whose symptoms were determined to be connected to the COVID-19 vaccine was later listed, in official records, as having experienced adverse events that were not related to the vaccination.

Vaccine trials in Argentina also appear to have glossed over adverse events suffered by other trial participants, and the potential connection between the adverse events and the vaccine.

The FDA on May 2 released the latest cache of documents, which pertain to the Emergency Use Authorization of Pfizer’s vaccine, as part of a court-ordered disclosure schedule stemming from an expedited Freedom of Information Act request filed in August 2021.

As previously reported by The Defender, the documents included Case Report Forms from Pfizer COVID vaccine trials in the U.S., and the “third interim report” from BioNTech’s trials conducted in Germany, both of which listed adverse events sustained by participants in the U.S. and German trials.

Many of these adverse events were indicated as being “unrelated” to the vaccines — even in instances where the patients were healthy or otherwise had no prior medical history related to the injuries they sustained.

Story of ‘disappeared patient’ goes public

Several bloggers and online investigators called into question various aspects of the Argentine vaccine trials, pointing out the number of participants in the Argentine trials dwarfed that of other, typically smaller trials at other locations in different countries.

They also pointed out the large number of participants appeared to have been recruited to the trial in a remarkably short time, and questioned the connections between one of the key figures of the Argentine trial to vaccine manufacturers, Big Pharma and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
