At Least 8 Shot, 2 Fatally, Outside a McDonald’s in Mayor Lightfoot’s Chicago

At least eight people were shot, two of them fatally, outside a Chicago McDonald’s Thursday night about 10:40 p.m.

The Chicag0 Sun-Times reports eight people shot, two killed, and ABC 7 reports nine people were shot, two fatally.

Two groups of individuals were fighting at the restaurant “in the 800-block of North State Street” when an individual in one of the groups pulled a gun and began shooting.

The gunman fled down steps to a subway platform after firing the shots and the group that was with him ran down the steps as well.

Two adult men were killed when the bullets began to fly.

The Sun-Times notes that one of the deceased men was 31-year-old Antonio Wade and the other was an unidentified 30-year-old male.

Breitbart News reported that 33 people were shot last weekend in Chicago, five of them fatally.

More than 1,300 online sex offenders arrested in covert police operations

Offenders ranged from those who had viewed or shared indecent images online to those who had encouraged children to send them indecent images online, as well as those who groomed children via online sites and then arranged to meet them so that they could sexually abuse them.

The NPCC said between April 2021 and March 2022 in England and Wales, officers working to catch those who commit sexual offences against children online made 1,362 arrests, safeguarded 1,400 children, and secured jail sentences totalling more than 1,130 years.

NPCC lead for online child Sexual exploitation, Assistant Chief Constable Dan Vajzovic, said: “Thanks to the fantastic work of covert officers across the country, a significant number of children have been safeguarded and dangerous child abusers have been locked behind bars.

“We hope these statistics send a loud and clear message to others who may be tempted to commit these types of offences.

“Many of the offenders we catch online attempt to justify their actions as less harmful than in ‘real life’. This is simply not the case, as we see time and again offenders who are moving between online and real world offending. All child abuse is illegal, causes serious harm to real victims, and will have severe consequences for you as an offender.

“We have officers working around the clock across all areas of the internet to catch those who are seeking to use it as a gateway to abuse children.”

Recent convictions include a man jailed for four-and-a-half-years for arranging or facilitating commission of a child sex offence and distributing indecent photographs of children, after he drove 145 miles from his home, where he believed he was meeting the girl and her mother.

Another man was recently jailed for three years after he pleaded guilty to attempting to arrange the commission of a child sex offence. He communicated online and via email with someone he believed was the mother of a young girl. He discussed his sexual interest, before making arrangements to meet the woman’s child, with the intention of sexually abusing her. During these investigations, there was never a real life victim and no children were ever in any danger.

Earlier this week, new sentencing guidance in child sex abuse cases published, with offenders caught in ‘police stings’ face tougher punishments by considering the “intended harm” to a victim (see https://www.policeprofessional.com/news/tougher-sentencing-guidance-in-child-sex-abuse-cases-published/). The revised guidance from the Sentencing Council for courts in England and Wales, which will come into effect on May 31, will “consider the intended sexual harm to a child even in cases where no actual child exists or no sexual activity takes place”, for example in police operations.

The NPCC said police regularly work closely with partner agencies to help prevent those people who are on the cusp of offending from taking the next step.

Director of the Stop It Now! helpline, Donald Findlater, said: “Mostly, the tens of thousands of people in the UK viewing sexual images of children online don’t conform to the stereotypes – they are our friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.

“Many of the people contacting our helpline started out simply looking on mainstream adult pornography sites, but over time they found they needed different or more extreme content. Some don’t know the law and need it spelling out. A few are struggling with a long-standing sexual interest in children and think that looking at ‘only pictures’ is a way of managing that interest.

“Everyone needs to know that looking at sexual images and videos of under-18s is illegal; that children are harmed by it; that serious consequences await those involved in it; but that our helpline and website give anonymous, and confidential support and advice to stop and stay stopped.”

FDA Approves New Intravenous Monkeypox Drug Treatment From PFIZER-Linked SIGA Technologies

Pfizer is apparently at it again, conveniently hitting another grand slam with another perfectly timed drug release for the latest viral outbreak sweeping the west – monkeypox.

After hitting it out of the park with their experimental mRNA Covid vaccine – typically what would be considered a once-in-a-lifetime development that’s cashing the company out to a tune of $1,000 per second – it seems like a long stretch that Pfizer would be involved in the ‘cure’ for the new outbreak, but hey, they apparently pulled it off.

Either way, here comes a Pfizer affiliate with another healthcare ‘solution’ as monkeypox becomes the new Covid.

On Thursday, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it had approved the company’s intravenous version of TPOXX® (tecovirimat) for use in the US to treat monkeypox. The new drug was created by SIGA Technologies, which formed a partnership related to the drug with Meridian Medical Technologies in 2019.

And, sure enough, Meridian is owned by Pfizer.

SIGA, which is a US-based “commercial-stage pharmaceutical company,” focuses on “countermeasures for biological, chemical, radiological and nuclear attacks (biodefense market), vaccines and therapies for emerging infectious diseases, and health preparedness” – In other words, the company is all about “health security,” which is right up Pfizer’s alley.

Their drug TPOXX has been available for use to treat smallpox for several years, but it was only available in pill form. The new version of TPOXX will be delivered directly into the bloodstream via injection and also reportedly works for treating monkeypox.

SIGA announced the approval in a press release earlier this week (via Biospace):

“We are grateful to the FDA for their work leading to approval of IV TPOXX, which will provide access to a broader patient population,” said Dr. Dennis Hruby, CSO of SIGA. “We are also appreciative to our colleagues at BARDA who have been working with us for many years to include oral and IV TPOXX in U.S. preparedness efforts and look forward to continuing to work with them on our liquid pediatric formulation.”

Considering everything that Pfizer has been exposed for, and involved in over the past two-plus years – including, but not limited to: burying information, poor clinical trial standards, skipped clinical trials, poor efficacy of treatments, and an unprecedented number of vaccine injuries/deaths– let alone what Fauci and the ‘experts’ at the FDA have been up to – it’s not a stretch to take a pause and do some deeper digging when you see Pfizer is leading the charge this time around too.

Buckle up.

Jankowicz Says Americans Criticizing Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board Are “Endangering Our National Security”

Biden’s ousted disinformation czar on Friday whined about conservatives who criticized the DHS’s ‘Ministry of Truth.’

Earlier this week, the Biden Regime announced it is ‘pausing’ the Department of Homeland Security’s ‘Ministry of Truth’ after conservative media hammered the lunatic Marxist chosen to run the Orwellian agency.

Nina Jankowicz, the far-left lunatic chosen to lead the DHS’s ‘Disinformation Governance Board,’ resigned on Wednesday.

Now Jankowicz is attacking Americans for exercising their First Amendment right to criticize the so-called ‘disinformation board.’

Jankowicz claimed conservatives are putting the US’s national security at risk.

“The Disinformation Governance Board was the victim of disinformation,” Jankowicz said. “Disinformation is false information spread with malign intent and clearly there was a malign intent on some actors in the media and in politics…”

[Critics] completely mischaracterized its mission and frankly, this childish behavior is endangering our national security now,” Jankowicz added.

Global Preparedness Monitoring Board

What is the GPMB?

The Global Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMB) is an independent monitoring and accountability body to ensure preparedness for global health crises. Co-convened by the Director-General of the World Health Organization and the President of the World Bank, the GPMB is comprised of political leaders, agency principals and world-class experts. It is tasked with providing an independent and comprehensive appraisal for policy makers and the world about progress towards increased preparedness and response capacity for disease outbreaks and other emergencies with health consequences. In short, the work of the GPMB is to chart a roadmap for a safer world.

Terms of Reference for the Global Preparedness Monitoring Board

Why was the GPMB created?

There are severe health and economic costs of failing to adequately prepare for and manage disease outbreaks and other health emergencies for countries and communities globally. Recent health emergencies, including the 2014-2016 West African Ebola outbreak, shed light on the major gaps in sustained political will, action, and sustainable financing for preparedness; national public health systems’ capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to health crises from the local to global levels; community trust deficits in local health systems; along with a need to accelerate research and development, and to enhance global and regional coordination and capabilities. Since then, multiple international expert panels have recommended specific reforms in these areas and many institutions have strengthened their accountability mechanisms. But gaps, weaknesses and inefficiencies remain.
