I have a problem with people claiming "religion" or "more God" will prevent murder. It's false. The Universal Christian Church has murdered more innocents than any other organization in history…while claiming holy exemption from the "laws" they profess.

Read the thread back. I'm not paranoid about it. I simply don't believe any "law" or book of prescriptive morality is going to stop someone from doing something the want to do. I do believe people find excuses in books of morality to commit evil, by claiming moral justification "from God".
