In a six-minute long video, a chemistry teacher from Shanghai taught chemistry to the residents’ committee. She explained why it was so harmful to spray disinfectant outside in the air. What she spread was not merely chemistry knowledge but the need of independent thinking. 1/3
She strongly urged that spraying disinfectant in the air for three to four times an hour was hardly effective as there was nothing out there to “disinfect.” In addition, it is highly harmful for kids who are smaller and the soil that absorbs all the toxic chemical. 2/3
Without thinking the aftermath of spraying all the toxic chemical for nothing, it would end up hurting the environment and themselves. This view was supported by a guy at the end of the video, who criticized the residents’ committee failed to protect the residents’ rights. 3/3
