Mojo Lens will be the main competitor as they currently have true AR smart contact lenses that are already out in 2022. They are simple in terms of UI and not many people have heard of them or are rushing to put them on their eyeballs (as far as we know).

Apple’s contact lenses will use some version of the upcoming “realityOS” as its main operating system. Since they will be contact lenses, it will be much easier and cheaper to manufacture them – that means the price won’t be $1,000-$2,000 like the Apple mixed reality headset, or $399-$699 like Apple Glass; the price would likely be priced around $99-$299.
