EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE NEARBY PLANE CRASH: NO FATALITIES
LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – An Edwards Air Force Base Plane Crash today was not a military plane. Moreover the crash did not result in fatalities. And it was near the base, not on the base.
The Edwards Air Force Base Plane Crash was reported just after 2 pm PST today June 4, 2018. Few details about the crash are yet known.
First, the crash was in the Mojave Desert west of California’s Edwards Air Force Base; it was not on the base. Officials tell news that hte crash was about 15 miles west of the base.
Second, there are no fatalities. Kern County Fire Department Captain Matthew Wiggins repots that two passengers were on the plane and neither were military. KGET however reports that hte plane came from National Test Pilot School in Mojave. The passengers were not students.
Third, while the crash was reported after 2 pm PST today, it reportedly happened just before noon today.
Finally little is still known about hte plane. But Baskerfield.com reports “Test pilot instructor Allen Petersen said the plane was not a National Test Pilot School aircraft and no instructors or students from the school were involved, but the plane took off from their site. He said he could not disclose which company owned the aircraft.”
