Does this look like a US Forest Service trailhead to anyone else.

  1. Wide area with crushed gravel.

  2. Foot trail leading off at grade on right.

  3. Unimproved road continues straight.

  4. Road at left of image is engineered but appears to have a barrier (indicates enviro's).

 

Pic feels like western U.S. to me.

 

Trees appear to be low elevation low precip species of either pine, cedar, or hemlock. No ground cover, grasses or shrubs are another indicator of low precip environment.

 

Not too keen on going to the websites shown bottom right.

Sorry, forgot that. It's granitic. Either granite or granodiorite. Neither volcanic or sedimentary. Rocky mountains, eastern side of the Sierras, Utah, Nevada. Not much granite on the west coast or southwest.
