They tried to steal the electoral college in December from Trump by getting the electors to vote for Hillary instead.
Then Comey went to see Trump and threaten him about this very Buzzfeed article. Basically telling then President-Elect Trump he could make it go away if Trump played ball. It was revealed in the transcripts of the closed-door House Intelligence Meetings with Comey. Comey was like, "look, a news outlet like CNN or someone else is going to publish something bad about you, you getting peed on by hookers, but I can make it go away." He ofcourse blamed it on Clapper. Basically saying Clapper told him to shake down the president.
