years ago an "insider" posted that it's to block the UV, because nuclear weapons production used 95% of all the CFCs and it all leaks into the atmosphere destroying the ozone layer. so they blame it on A/C and refrigeration, and now they are spraying out sunblock so that the food crops are not destroyed by UV.
would be less of a problem if we switched to hemp agriculture.
