Journalist and Twitter Star Jack Posobiec and Film Crew Detained by Armed Police in Davos

Twitter personality, author, and commentator Jack Posobiec traveled to Davos, Switzerland on Monday for the start of the World Economic Forum.

Jack spoke this past weekend in Hungary at a CPAC Hungary event.

On Monday, Jack tweeted out that he and his film crew were detained by police at the conference.

In a statement to Post Millenial, Posobiec said, “Never once did they explain to us why we were targeted. I want to be clear on something, we had already given our name, our passport, and our press pass, about an hour prior.”

Goldman Sachs Research Analyst Shot Dead In NYC Subway

On Sunday morning, a Goldman Sachs research analyst was shot and killed on a New York City subway train.

Daniel Enriquez, who joined Goldman's research division in 2013, was shot in the chest in an unprovoked attack around 11:45 a.m. on the northbound Q as it passed Manhattan Bridge, according to NYT.

Sunday's train attack comes a little more than a month after the shooting in April on the N train left nearly two dozen people injured. Confidence in riding public transportation has plummeted as violence soars across the city.

Goldman CEO David Solomon described Enriquez as a "dedicated and beloved" colleague.

"We are devastated by this senseless tragedy and our deepest sympathies are with Dan's family at this difficult time," Solomon said in a statement.

According to NYPost, the family of Enriquez had only one message for Mayor Eric Adams: "Do your job … Get crime off the streets."

And it was just last week when the mayor pleaded with Wall Street CEOs to ride the subway to work in an effort to bring employees back to their Manhattan offices.

Ukraine to seize assets of Russia sympathizers

A new law will allow Ukraine to replenish the state budget at the expense of “enemies,” President Zelensky says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on Monday allowing the confiscation of assets from citizens accused of supporting Russia in the ongoing conflict.

The legislation, which parliament passed in mid-May, states that the seizure of assets is an extraordinary measure which can be only used during martial law and based on a court ruling. On Sunday, Ukraine extended martial law for another 90 days, until August 23.

“The procedure of tracking down and seizing the assets of sanctioned persons, who in one way or another back the aggression of the occupiers against Ukraine, will allow us to swiftly and effectively replenish the Ukrainian budget at the expense of the enemies,” Zelensky said.

Actions that could lead to the confiscation of assets from companies and individuals include harming the national security and sovereignty of Ukraine, identifying Ukrainian patriotism with Nazism, and inciting hatred toward the Ukrainian people, their culture and language.

In April, the Ukrainian parliament passed a law allowing the nationalization of assets of Russian citizens or those with close links to Moscow, who publicly deny that a war is underway. Russia officially describes the conflict in Ukraine as a “special military operation.”

Russia attacked Ukraine in late February, following Kiev’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German- and French-brokered protocols were designed to give the breakaway regions special status within the Ukrainian state.

The Kremlin has since demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it was planning to retake the two republics by force.

I don’t want you to lose this unity," Zelensky stated in the keynote address which was met with enthusiastic applause in approval. He called for measures which he said have still yet to be imposed, including a ban on Western companies operating in Russia. His words came simultaneous to a UN official at the WEF stressing that Russia's continued blockade on Ukraine ports amounts to a "declaration of war" by Putin on Ukraine and broader humanity:
