World Economic Forum’s Klaus Schwab at Davos Pushes Elitist Garbage “That We Act All as Stakeholders of Larger Communities”
Klaus Schwab spoke in Davos today at the World Economic Forum and in his opening, he spoke about all of us being good socialists in “that we act all as stakeholders of larger communities”.

Klaus Schwab, founder and chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), addressed more than 2,500 business, political and media elites at WEF’s Annual Summit in Davos, Switzerland on Monday.
“The future is not just happening. The future is built by us, by a powerful community such as you here in this room,” Schwab told his audience. “We have the means to improve the state of the world,” he added.
…Schwab went on to outline what he viewed as two conditions for such an improvement to occur. The first condition relied on his vision of global leaders as “stakeholders” of the future.
“The first [condition] is that we act all as stakeholders of larger communities,” Schwab said, “That’s what we call ‘stakeholder responsibility.’”
The second condition, Schwab said, was collaboration within the “community” of global leaders.

SoCal: Anaheim Mayor Abruptly Resigns as FBI Investigates Corruption Allegations in Pending Sale of Angel Stadium
Orange County, California – Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu, a Republican, resigned Monday afternoon as the FBI investigates corruption allegations in the pending sale of Angel Stadium.
The feds claim that on at least two occasions Sidhu provided confidential city information to Angels Baseball as they negotiated the sale of the stadium.
“[Sidhu] is accused of soliciting $1 million in campaign contributions from an Angels representative in exchange for performing official acts that would finalize the stadium sale.” KABC reported.
Harry Sidhu has not been charged and he denied the allegations through his attorney.
“Mayor Sidhu has always, as his foremost priority, acted in the best interests of the city of Anaheim,” attorney Paul S. Meyer said in a statement. “In order to continue to act in the best interests of Anaheim and to allow this great city to move forward without distraction, Harry Sidhu has resigned from his post as mayor effective May 24, 2022.

Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu has resigned amid an FBI’s corruption probe related to the sale of Angel Stadium.
His resignation takes effect at midnight Tuesday.
The resignation comes as it was revealed last week that the mayor was the subject of a probe by the FBI, which alleged in a search warrant affidavit that he had fed insider information to Angels executives in the stadium deal and arranged to have a helicopter bought registered in Arizona so he could save money on taxes.
The FBI alleges that Sidhu was hoping to get a $1 million-dollar campaign donation from the team. That never happened and the FBI says the Angels were unaware of the scheme, but this has been building for a while now.
“A fair and thorough investigation will prove that Mayor Harry Sidhu did not leak secret information in the hopes of a later political campaign contribution,” Sidhu’s Attorney Paul S. Last Tuesday night when the mail-in ballots started to come in, David McCormick built a sizeable lead against Dr. Oz and Kathy Barnette in the GOP Senate primary election.
There are still votes to count nearly a week later.
Dr. Oz leads by less than 1,000 votes after 6 days of counting. The state is STILL not through counting ballots!
Today David McCormick sued to demand election officials count undated ballots that came in after the Tuesday election.
He sounds like a Democrat.

David McCormick’s campaign filed a lawsuit Monday afternoon arguing that election officials must count mail-in and absentee ballots that lack a date on their envelope, citing a federal court order released on Friday.
McCormick and his primary opponent, Mehmet Oz, have been squabbling over whether undated ballots should be counted. The fight began late last week, after a three-judge panel on the federal 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals issued a judgment that undated ballots in a 2021 county judgeship election should be counted.
McCormick’s lawsuit, filed in state court, sues the state’s chief election official and county election boards in order to compel them to count the undated ballots that were returned on time.

Newsom Threatens to Impose Mandatory Water Restrictions if Californians Don’t Use Less on Their Own Amid Drought
California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) on Monday threatened to impose mandatory water restrictions if residents don’t use less water as drought conditions worsen.
“Every water agency across the state needs to take more aggressive actions to communicate about the drought emergency and implement conservation measures,” Newsom said in a statement.
Newsom didn’t say when he would impose the new restrictions.
Last July, Newsom asked Californians to voluntarily cut back on household water consumption by 15%.

Pfizer Moves To Dismiss Lawsuit From COVID-19 Vaccine Trial, Citing 'Prototype' Agreement
Pfizer has asked a U.S. court to throw out a lawsuit from a whistleblower who revealed problems at sites that tested Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.
Brook Jackson, the whistleblower, alleged in a suit that was unsealed in February that Pfizer and associated parties violated clinical trial regulations and federal laws, including the False Claims Act.
In its motion to dismiss, Pfizer says the regulations don’t apply to its vaccine contract with the U.S. Department of Defense because the agreement was executed under the department’s Other Transaction Authority (OTA), which gives contract holders the ability to skirt many rules and laws that typically apply to contracts.
That means that Jackson’s claim that Pfizer must still comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulations “is simply wrong,” Pfizer said.
Warner Mendenhall, a lawyer who is working on Jackson’s case, said in a recent interview that Pfizer has “clearly not followed federal procurement laws.”
“And now they’re saying, ‘of course we didn’t follow federal procurement laws, we didn’t have to—this was just for a prototype,'” he added.
Mendenhall, who declined an interview request, said lawyers for Jackson are working on figuring out legal ways to counter Pfizer’s argument.
“We may lose on this issue because their contract imposes … none of the normal checks and balances on quality control and consumer protection that we fought for decades in this country,” he said.
The contract in question was outlined in a base agreement and a statement of work for the agreement, which was signed in the summer of 2020.
The government agreed to pay up to $1.9 billion for 100 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine pending U.S. regulatory clearance. That included the manufacturing of the vaccine on top of researching and developing it.

FBI wrongly told its agents Trump-Russia collusion claims had come from DOJ, bombshell document reveals
FBI agents probing since-debunked claims of a secret back channel between Donald Trump and a Russian bank believed that the allegations had originated with the Department of Justice — when in fact they came from Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, who had shopped them to the bureau’s then-general counsel days earlier.
In the latest revelation to emerge from Sussmann’s trial in DC federal court on a count of lying to the FBI, special counsel John Durham’s prosecutors revealed that investigators had received an electronic communication citing a referral from the DOJ “on or about” Sept. 19, 2016, the same day Sussmann met with James Baker, then the FBI’s top lawyer.
The document, a record of the investigation being opened by agents Curtis Heide and Allison Sands and dated Sept. 23, 2016, did not mention Sussmann as the source of the allegations.
“In that referral, the DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE provided the FBI with a white paper that was produced by an anonymous third party,” the communication said, before adding: “According to the white paper, a U.S.-based server that is owned by the TRUMP ORGANIZATION has been communicating with the Russian-based ALFA BANK organization in Moscow, Russia.”
The document was circulated to several top FBI officials — including Peter Strzok, who oversaw the probe of Clinton’s email server as well as the Trump-Russia investigation, and was famously fired from the bureau in 2018 after the emergence of text messages he sent to his colleague and mistress Lisa Page in which he vowed to help “stop” Trump from winning the White House.
Sands, who testified late Monday afternoon, told jurors that she believed Heide had told her the referral came from the Department of Justice.
The error was seized on by Sussmann’s defense attorney Michael Bosworth, who grilled Sands about whether Heide had lied to her – or if someone had lied to him about the source of the material.
“You haven’t been interviewed in that [Durham] investigation?” Bosworth asked at one point. “No,” Sands responded.
Testifying for the prosecution Monday, FBI agent Ryan Gaynor revealed that bureau honchos shielded Sussmann’s identity from field agents who investigated the claims of a link between Trump and Alfa Bank as part of a longstanding practice known as a “close hold.”
Gaynor told prosecutor Andrew DeFilippis that the decision to hide where the information was made by top leadership at the FBI before the Alfa Bank material was given to the Chicago field office.
After the information was handed over to the Chicago squad, a more senior FBI agent at headquarters asked Gaynor, who had volunteered to “track” the investigation, to determine if the hold was affecting or hindering the investigation, he testified.
Gaynor determined he could “not make an argument that we needed to pull the hold [reveal Sussmann as the source] at the time” because they were waiting on information from the spam email company that was actually behind the supposed secret back channel between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, he testified.

Appeals Court Judge Blocks Parts of DeSantis’s Big Tech Censorship Law
A Federal Court of Appeals ruled on May 23 that it is unconstitutional for Florida to prohibit social media companies from banning politicians, handing Gov. Ron DeSantis a blow to combat online censorship.
The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in a 67-page opinion upheld an injunction blocking key parts of Florida’s social media law and said that meddling with the platforms’ content moderation policies ran afoul of the First Amendment.
“We conclude that social-media platforms’ content-moderation activities—permitting, removing, prioritizing, and deprioritizing users and posts—constitute ‘speech’ within the meaning of the First Amendment,” the court wrote.
NetChoice LLC and the Computer & Communications Industry Association—two social media trade associations—challenged the law that was signed last year.
“Put simply, with minor exceptions, the government can’t tell a private person or entity what to say or how to say it,” the court wrote.
DeSantis had disputed the fact that social media companies were biased towards conservatives and were silencing their political speech after former President Donald Trump was banned from Twitter and other social media platforms, which sparked outrage from Republicans as well as DeSantis. The court wrote that content-moderation decisions are protected exercises of editorial judgment.

Ethics Office Finds ‘Substantial Reason To Believe’ Republican Rep Illegally Accepted Caribbean Vacation
Republican West Virginia Rep. Alex Mooney may have illegally accepted several gifts from a campaign vendor, most notably a trip to Aruba, in violation of federal campaign finance laws, a report from the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) alleges.
The report, released Monday by the House Ethics Committee, finds “substantial reason to believe” that Mooney and his family accepted a vacation to Aruba financed in large part by HSP Direct, a direct mail fundraising vendor. Mooney may have directed congressional staffers to help plan his trip, OCE alleges, in violation of House of Representatives ethics rules.
The Ethics Committee moved to extend its review of the allegations on Feb. 7. It did not announce whether or not it would take action against Mooney as a result of an investigation.
Mooney and his family vacationed in Aruba in March 2021, a trip he claimed in an email to staffers was part of a fundraising retreat organized by HSP Direct’s political action committee. However, the Aruba trip was actually a “goal setting trip for the staff,” an HSP Direct employee wrote in an email to Mooney’s executive assistant, according to the report. The Mooneys were the only people on the trip not employed by HSP Direct, the report noted.
Overall, HSP Direct paid at least $10,803.65 for the Mooney family’s expenses during the vacation, according to the OCE report. Mooney reimbursed $1,637.75 to HSP Direct, which he labeled on the check as related to “airfare.”
Mooney’s office said in a statement that he reimbursed HSP Direct “for what the Congressman believes to be more than the value of any gift to him.”
“There was no improper connection between any gift and any official action by the Congressman. No taxpayer funds were used to pay for this trip,” his office added, saying that he “looks forward to working with the Committee on Ethics to resolve these matters.”
Mooney has paid HSP Direct $71,271.28 since 2020 for campaign services, most notably direct mail, according to Federal Election Commission records.
